Hope you don't mind a basic question here - Is there an environment or humidity or weather condition that makes lenses like the Boston 7s or other gas permeable lenses ideal, or is it just a personal Preference that make people choose them over ordinary lenses in general?
I've been hearing about them but I don't think any of my friends use them. Thanks... ![]() |

Anyway, in answer to your question, someone here on Lens 101 asked if it was safe to wear Boston ES contacts in a sauna, and the answer is yes. The lenses do not fog up because they're at body temperature. Here's the link: http://www.lens101.com/boston-es/7823-boston-es-contacts-safe-sauna.html As far as weather conditions such as temperature, I would imagine that the contact lenses like the same weather conditions as you do: moderate. Not too hot, not too cold, medium humidity, that sort of thing. I don't wear Boston 7 lenses myself, so I can't tell you why people choose them. Most of them probably choose Boston 7 because that's what their doctors prescribe. |
