Boston Contact Lens Solution

I just got some Boston EO contacts (I love them!) and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good lens cleaning solution to use for these lenses. Thanks!

Well, there is actually a Boston cleaning solution called Boston Advance Comfort Formula System. That'll probably work.

Boston has a original formula solution and a advanced comfort solution. The thing to remember with these two variations are that they are a multi-part solution, meaning that the cleaner and the conditioner are seperate solutions and you must be carefull never to place the cleaner or red tipped bottle 's solution in the eye.

Boston has actually come out with a new solution simplus, which is a multi-purpose solution so that it cleans and conditions all in one bottle. This would be the easiest solution to use and gets the job done.

It is, however best to call your doctors office and ask what solutions the doctor recommends and the cleaning regimine he/she would like you on.

I'm told Clear Care works really well with Boston EO. Any comments?

Clear Care does work really well for disinfecting EO or any other GP lenses. Personally, I find that for maximum comfort throughout the day I need to have my lenses soak in a wetting/conditioning fluid overnight. The best I have found is Boston Original. I clean my lenses with Boston Original and/or Ciba Vision's Miraflow daily cleaner and rinse with tap water; I then rub my lenses with Boston Original conditioning solution. After that I put it in the lens case and cover the lenses with the solution. In the morning I just take them out of the case and put them straight in! They are blurry for a few minutes but clear up shortly.

My Boston ES lenses wet very well with this regimen. I would like to find a way to work Clear Care into my routine just to have peroxide disinfection, but it does not condition the lenses very well. You could try cleaning with a daily cleaner, disinfecting with Clear Care, and wetting with a solution like Boston conditioning fluid. Clear Care states that you can rub GP lenses with it but I find the cleaner to be insufficient for my deposits, so a separate daily cleaner is necessary for me. YMMV.
