Default Rubbing Your Boston II

How much does it help to rub your Boston II contacts as you're cleaning them? If you think it really does help, what is your technique?

Default if you are using teh scrubbing cleaning solution you must

I use the Boston cleaning solution with scrubbing beads. Just what I started out with and it’s what I use. It really gets them clean.

I place the lens in my hand add a few drops to the inside of the lens and in a circular motion I work the solution around the entire lens surface then rinse under a fine stream of tap filtered water.

Hi JD. Welcome back.

Thanks for sharing your cleaning technique. I noticed you said that you use a circular motion. I thought I read someplace that you're supposed to work from the center outward. Have you ever heard of that?

Default not according to my Ophthalmologist

When I first got fitted one of the things that he was emphatic about, and so were the other ophthalmologist was that using a circular motion makes sure that both surfaces are being cleaned completely. I actually tried it when I was being instructed on my lens and it just doesn't get the lens clean at all.

The beads depend on a constant motion and circular makes sure of that.

I think that once you get a feel for your lenses, you discover a method that works best for you.

As long as the lenses are getting clean enough, your techniques shouldn't make a huge difference.

I use the simplus solution kit to clean the lenses. Although sometimes the cleaning may not be a satisfactory one but never had a problem with cleaning.

Tell me more about these "scrubbing beads" JD. Is that what they're actually called? If I Googled "scrubbing beads" would I find this product?
