Default Boston XO and XO2 color tinting over dark brown possible?

Hi. One week wearing Boston. Not sure if XO or XO2. I have dark brown eyes. Will ice blue or violet tinted lenses appear "goofy" looking over my natural dark brown eyes?
Does a color tinted lens reduce visibility? What about at night?
I have severe Presbyopia and during insertion/removal have terrible difficulty determining if the lenses are on my eyes.
Also, to me, with the lenses in, my eyes in the mirror appear dull and with redness. I was wondering if a tint would add some visual sparkle. Thanks.

Thanks for joining us, tom jones. I've never worn Boston lenses on my brown eyes, so I can't speak from experience, but I can tell you that those lenses are pretty high end and I'd be very surprised if they didn't cover your eyes. I think the reason color contact lenses were invented was so people with brown eyes could make them blue.

Default size of contact lens

Does tinting for eye color change reduce the clarity and vision of one's eyesight versus seeing thru a clear or lite blue tint lens (for handling)?

Seems like the RGP lens diameter is a little smaller than the total diameter of the brown part of eye. But difficult for me to tell with my poor near vision.

Color Contact Lenses have a clear pupil in the center just like your eye itself, so they should reduce the clarity of your vision. On the contrary. They should make your eyesight even better.

Default Boston xo / xo2 progressive or bifocal

Thanks for your feedback.
if I use a colord contact lens from Boston, will i see the edge of the color circle outside of the clear center?
if use colored lens, can one still use progerssive or bifocal lens Rx too?

Don't you mean "they shouldn't reduce the clarity of your vision," captainneo?

in reference to the boston rgp lens materials. yes the materials are available with or without a uv filter clear or in tints. the tint is not opaque and transcluscent and is only effective with light blue eyes or grey.

due to the nature of corneal lenses being smaller tinted rgp lenses tend to look unnatural unless a larger diameter rgp lens is worn. The tint is to locate the lens in a case and not so much for a cosmetic tint effect.

on verrry light eyes it can add some sparkle tho.

I should hope that wearing contact lenses would make your eyesight better.
