How long have you been using Boston XO2 brand contact lenses? Have you always worn RGP lenses or did you wear a series of soft lenses until you finally worked your way up to the rigid ones?

ive been wearing them now for about a year and half......I absolutely love these lenses.

I am an ECP since the age of 13 i started wearing soft contact lenses..Im gonna age myself...in the late 70's early 80's i wore coopervision permaflex naturals...a super comfortable thin high water content lens....however having developed dry eyes, allergies and mild blepharitis I switched to a rigid gas permeable lens.

In all honesty it was really challenging getting use to the feeling of the lens edge constantly bumping into the upperlids but after a month of adaptation i got use to them and they are the most comfortable lens I have ever worn. I dont even feel them anymore and I can wear these ultra oxygen transmissibility lenses for 14 - 18 hours.

Thanks for describing your journey to RGP lenses. I'm glad they're so comfortable for you.

Thanks for answering my question, luvbostonxo2. So you started with soft lenses, and then when you ran into some health problems with your eyes, the RGP lenses were a better option for you.

For those that wear sofrt contact lenses you know what I mean when I describe a dry soft lens as feeling like a "corn flake" on the eye.

My rgp's fit great.

I've never worn RGP lenses, but I would imagine they would feel like sticking a poker chip in my eye.

Well at least they're not that big. They're rather tiny, actually. Boston XO2 contacts come in diameters ranging from 7-12 mm, and "casino sized" poker chips are 39 mm in diameter . . . says here.
Lest you think I just know how big a poker chip is off the top of my head.

So a poker chip is roughly three or four times larger than a Boston XO2 contact lens. Got it.
