Default Chesterfield Zip It/S Sunglasses UV Protection Level

When you're shopping for sunglasses, it's always a good idea to check and see how much UV light is reflected by the sunglasses. In most cases there will be a sticker telling you the amount of protection provided, but sometimes it's not there. Are there other ways you can tell? Even ways to determine if the protection level is high, medium or low?

Well, Captain, the only way I know of to check UV protection level is to a) take them to your eye doctor for testing, although you will probably have to buy them first. Or b) buy some kind of gizmo that measures UV light levels and test them yourself in the store. Neither way is very easy.

You could pick up one of these UV light meters for only 40 . . . pounds. (It's a British website).

Okay, thanks Bpiper. That looks like a pretty cool little gadget. Anybody know how much 40 pounds is in US dollars?
