From what I've been able to find on the Internet, CibaSoft SoftColors color contact lenses and Illusions seem pretty similar. I wonder if someone has tried both kinds of contacts and has decided that they definitely like one kind more than the other. It would be great if you could post pictures here on this site and show us how these contacts compare. Is anyone willing to put their eyes on line to help us decide which of these contacts we should buy? Thanks in advance!

Nope! Illusions are opaque lenses (printed), and Cibasoft are enhancers (tinted).
Cibasoft dont have a pattern, but a translucent tint, i have the Cibasoft Aqua and they didnt work on my light brown eyes, you need to have very pale eyes for them to enhance them well and work. |

Thank you Electribe. Sorry it took so long to say that.
I've heard of opaques and enhancers, and I never really investigated the difference between the two. I always just thought the enhancer tints were easier to see through and so your natural eye color was more visible through them. I never thought about them getting their colors from a different process. Do you know anything about these printing and tinting processes? Thanks again for taking the time to answer my question. I don't suppose I can persuade you to post a picture or two of your aqua contacts on this forum? |

Yea of course I can post the pics, that's why I am here, to talk about contacts
![]() Yes the process is different. enhancers have a translucent dye, but opaques have an opaque dye that blocks light, so you only see that color, although sometimes opaque lenses have dot matrix patterns which try to mix the resulting color with your natural one so it doesnt lose the natural shine but in my opinion that is theory, and dot matrixes generally kill that shine (colorblends, etc) Im gonna post a picture of my Cibasoft Softcolors Aqua in my light brown eyes and one in a girl with grey eyes. This way you will clearly see what I meant |

I post the pics in several posts because the system doesnt let me post so much pics in one
On a girl with pale grey eyes: ![]() ![]() For light to dark brown eyes the only thing that works is an opaque, like these Elegance by Ciba Vision in Light Blue that are one of my favorite contacts: ![]() |
