Default Replacing ClearSight 1 Day Contacts and Glasses

I found an article that suggests that you update your glasses every time your prescription for contact lenses changes. Do you think that's a good idea?

I think it's a good idea contact lens wearers have a pair of glasses at least good enough to drive with. That suggests the script is strong enough to at least correct your vision to 20/40.

People who wear contacts all the time might not need to update their emergency glasses if the contact lens change is minor. Really something which should be discussed with your eye doctor. What's "good enough" for some patients might not be "good enough" for others.

I think it's a good idea to have a pair of "emergency glasses" on hand in case something goes wrong with your lenses. I'm glad you brought that up.

What would be a "major" change in one's contact lens prescription that would necessitate changing the glasses too?

Real simple. Can you still see well enough to drive with your glasses. That means (most states) at least 20/40. Some people might not even feel comfortable driving unless their vision is closer to 20/20.

What about in terms of diopters? Would you say that if your prescription changed half of a diopter, like from -2.0 to -2.5, that such a change would warrant a change in glasses? Will an eye doctor just change your contact lens prescription without checking your glasses prescription as well?
