Default Natural Touch Sultry Gray.

What's up guys/gals

First time here so I thought I would post a picture since I just received my Natural Touch Sultry Grays today. First off I am half Thai and half Irish but definitely have more Asian attributes facially. My Dad has light blue eyes almost baby blue and my Mother has brown eyes. I was born with hazel eyes but the older I got (27 years old) now the darker my eyes got which are now Brown/Black. I like my brown eyes but I decided for the first time why not try something different. I started reading your forums about what contacts would best fit me and I decided to give NT Sultry Gray a shot. The picture has no flash just fluorescent lamps from the warehouse. The reason why my face looks lit up is because I aimed my phone from the ceiling with my face facing the light. I'll post a picture with my natural color as well. Oh and one last thing, thanks guys for the help on helping me decide. :-)

A new face on Lens 101. Welcome kalifornikazn. I'm so glad to read that Lens 101 has been helpful to you. That's why we're here.

Those Natural Touch contacts are really nice. Sultry Gray is a popular color. I don't wear them myself, but there are several pictures of people wearing them here on this forum. There's even a whole section for Natural Touch: http://www.lens101.com/natural-touch-opaque.html

I look forward to seeing those pictures of you and your Natural Touch Opaque contact lenses.

So let me see i I've got this straight. In the picture where you're sitting in the car, that's your natural eye color, and the one in the warehouse shows you with your Natural Touch Sultry Gray contacts?

Great. Thanks for asking, Droopy. I was wondering about that myself. Welcome to Lens 101 kalifornikazn.
I'm not trying to be nosy, but does your screen name mean that you live in California?

Nah, forget the Waicon and Solotica lenses. They're expensive and Lens 101 doesn't sell them. Stay with the Natural Touch contacts.

well of course their expensive, but their top notch quality wise. i would say that solotica and waicon(or magic top) are the most natural looking colored contacts and best in covering dark eyes. now if you dont care about your eyeball looking like it was painted on up close go ahead and buy the cheap ones. I've seen Natural Touch lenses up close and their very obvious, but they do have great color payoff and they are less expensive. its totally up to you and your Preference, whether you like quality over the price, but there are many other good lenses out there.

I agree that Solotica lenses are very nice looking (Yes, better than Natural Touch.), but I think they're overpriced, too. Natural Touch contact lenses will run you about a hundred dollars on Lens.com for a pair of contacts that will last a year. I wouldn't call that "cheap," but I've seen Soloticas offered for twice that.

Like you said, it's totally up to you what brand of contact lenses you buy, but if you want to save money, go for the Natural Touch.

true, but the pair of solotica i got were only $30 over the NT ones and they are annual as well. it probably depends also on where people get it from. i hope ppl dont think im ALL FOR solotica lol, they're really great and worth the price, but i also believe in variety. before solotica i bought these tutti contact lenses for $20 and they were good(not great), you get what you pay for. one thing for sure, fx contacts ones are an example of expensive contacts, they sell for at least $300. haha that'll break my bank account for sure

"Tutti" contact lenses? Is that a brand name or some kind of slang term for cheap?

Not that "Tootie" from The Facts of Life was cheap . . .

They are? Tutti brand contact lenses? Like Acuvue or FreshLook?

I didn't think Walkthisway was being harsh, but I'm sorry if you feel that way. I think he or she was honestly just trying to figure out what you meant when you said "I bought these tutti contact lenses for $20 and they were good(not great) . . . "

The word was not capitalized so it was hard to tell it was a brand name. I've been on this contact lens site for years and this is the first I've heard of Tutti contact lenses. I'm not surprised that Walkthisway isn't familiar with them either.

It sounds like you got a pretty good deal on those Soloticas. Lens.com doesn't sell Soloticas, but they do sell the Natural Touch Opaque contacts for $54.95 per vial. Is that a good price?

Well I'm sorry lol... Just seemed that way to me, but yes they're a Korean brand. To answer your question, that is a great price for NT per vial. They're a great brand of contacts, but I just don't like those lines up close. Sorry to walkthisway lol.

How could they be so mean as to name a television character "Tootie" like it was something normal?

Have any of you seen Kim "Tootie" Fields lately? I wonder if she wears contact lenses?

Okay, I did a search for Kim Fields contact lens, and I didn't find out what kind of lenses this actress wears--if any--but I did find this very thread, and some doctors named Kimberly Fields.

Perhaps for the same reason people have to touch the paint that the sign says is wet?
