Smile Adore Bi-tone

Hey all! In my never-ending quest for the most natural and stunning color contact lenses, I came across Adore Bi-tone colored lenses. They are being compared to Waicon Tri-kolor and Solotica in terms of comfort and realistic and beautiful color change. But I can't find anywhere that says if they are for dark eyes too. I'd love feedback from anyone that has tried these Adore lenses on brown eyes! Thanks!

Hi julietlilly29.

I found a site that has a YouTube video embedded showing a person with brown eyes wearing green Adore Bi-Tone contacts. The two minute video clip has a lot of fireworks and sparkly effects. Perhaps that was done on purpose to hide the fact that quite a bit of brown shows through the pupil openings of these contacts. I was rather disappointed. Here's the link for that video: http://cheap-coloredcontacts.com/adore-bi-tone-green-color-contact-lens/

You may want to ask your eye doctor about FreshLook ColorBlends or Natural Touch Opaque. I wish I had some pictures for you, but as easy as it is to find pictures of people wearing the contacts, it's hard to find them identified as being worn over brown eyes.

Default Thanks Mamcita!

I'll take your word for it, I found another website selling Adore and they seem kind of expensive with too little info about them. I've tried the Freshlooks and don't like them on my eyes at all, color or fit. Youtube has a LOT of color contact videos, thanks for the link! That's a neat way to get an idea of what's out there and see the real effect on brown eyes

Hi julietlilly29,

I've heard the same thing about the Adore lenses. They allow the natural color to show through the pupil holes, yet they're rather expensive.
You say you don't like FreshLook ColorBlends, but what about the Natural Touch Opaque lenses that mamcita suggested? Here's a giant picture of the ever popular Baby Blue Natural Touch Opaque in brown eyes.

Talking Nice!

Wow, those are beautiful! I'm sold!
Love the huge pic LOL! I'll never live that one down
I was debating between trying the Waicons and Soloticas, but I think I may just go with Natural Touch. That color just pops! I've never tried a bright or bold blue before but those are tempting. How's the comfort?

Default NT Baby blue

Well I did it, I took the plunge and spent a ridiculous wad of cash on the Natural Touch Baby blues. I read so many rave reviews about the color and comfort which is so important! Shipping says 5-7 days but since I'm in Guam I won't hold my breath
Now to practice my patience haha! I will post pics as soon as I get them. Yaaay!!! I'm so excited! I really appreciate all the advice everyone, thanks

Default The Natural Touch

Natural Touch Baby Blue contact lenses are available at Lens.com for $54.95 US per vial, each vial containing one lens. That sounds like a lot, but--look at how beautiful that color is. Not only are they a great color, but if you care for them properly, one pair can last you a whole year.

Here's where to find them: http://www.lens.com/contact-lenses/lens290.asp

Fabulous! I'm glad you decided to go with the Natural Touch contacts. I'm looking forward to seeing your smiling face in those contacts. I think I'll just take a spot next to FaceofBoe, there.

Pressure, pushin down on me.....Haha, gotta love Queen
I don't feel the pressure, just the impatience!! They haven't even shipped yet, I got them from lens.com and they're taking forever...well I ordered them April 28th, and maybe it's taking awhile because the left has a different prescription than the right? I dunno, but I'm in that huge crowd waiting most anxiously for them to get here already! I promise pics asap

If you go to www.lens.com and look at the bottom of the red frame, you will see a link that says "Order Status." Once you're logged in you can check there to see where your contact lenses are, I think. Give it a try.

Now I've got that "Pressure" song in my head. Normally I like to be the one to plant songs in Lens 101 readers' consciousness. So maybe I'll suggest that while "Pressure" is a catchy tune, when you talk about the music of Queen, nothing comes close to "Bohemian Rhapsody."

"Scaramouch, Scaramouch, will you do the fandango?
Thunderbolt and lightning, very very frightening me."

Default Ear worm!!

Thanks for the tip Jaws, gonna check my order status prob 50 times a day now haha!
You are so right, Bohemian Rhapsody is Queen's ultimate best, and a fave ear worm of mine! I once had the best time at a little out of the way place where a group of "Brits" in the RAF, rocked that song on Karaoke and got the whole crowd to join in, there were scraggly old dudes and young sailors and every age in between, and it sounded amazing with all 100 or so people singing along! Ah..good times

Unhappy Pure disappointment

So I got my Natural Touch lenses in Baby blue today and tore open the package in such excitement to try them out. To my utter dismay I noticed first that the right one is seriously printed off center. Also the color is HORRID with my skintone!! They make me look like a zombie! Not only that, but the pupil hole is sooo small that I can hardly see at all, like the world is edged in fog or smoke, it's worse than my normal bad vision. I am truly devastated since I saw so many pics of these same contacts looking really nice on lots of different people. I will put up pics in my profile since I promised before, but I don't even see myself ever wearing these for any reason, they worsen my vision and look weird and freaky. What's worse is that they are actually really comfortable! Especially my left eye which is always my problem eye with all the other contacts I've tried. Sooooo ironic...<tear> a bit over 100 bucks down the drain Maybe I can return 'em since one is printed off center?

OK first of all, Bessie. Love that picture of the two ladies at the microphone. It doesn't take much imagination for me to hear them belting out "Bohemian Rhapsody."

Now, Juliet, I'm really sorry to read about those crummy lenses you got. Did you order them from Lens.com? I certainly hope you can return them for replacement. I've never heard of someone getting such poorly made lenses. Let's hope it's a one-in-a-million thing. Don't give up yet. Try again and I'm sure the second time will be the charm.

Default VAB Thanks!

Encouraging words VAB, thank you. I am really close to giving up contact lens wear, mostly due to the fact that I can't wear any brand yet (except my Colorvue Fusion lenses) for more than 4 hours at a time without pretty bad discomfort. Anyway, I did get the NT's from Lens.com, and I will check with them about a possible exchange. If I could just send back the misprinted one, they could totally see how bad it is and maybe replace it. I bet it is some random one in a million thing like you said, cause I only ever hear really good stuff about the NT's and Lens.com. So I will keep on trying for now, thank goodness for this forum!!

Hi julietlilly29

If the lens is printed seriously off centre, then it is clearly a manufacturing error, which somehow has slipped past quality control.

It should be replaced with a correctly manufactured one, but maybe that doesn't help too much if the lens very comfortable but doesn't give good vision and doesn't go with your skin tone.

Maybe if you explain, the seller can supply an alternative lens which may be more suitable, as a good will gesture.

Thanks for the contact information, Building63. It will probably come in handy for the people visiting Lens 101.

Julietlilly29, I hope you're able to exchange those defective lenses, and I hope those small pupil holes and the strange color are just as much a manufacturing error as the off-center irises.

Yes, this is a great forum where you can learn a lot.

I hope you're able to exchange your contact lenses without too much hassle. Are you going to get more Natural Touch contact lenses?

Thumbs up Once again, great info and help here!

Thanks everyone for the encouragement and super useful info on how to exchange or replace the defective NT lenses. Unfortunately I have had some really hard classes this past few months in school (A&P is kicking my butt...or brain or both I guess) so I didn't even get around to calling the company yet or emailing them or anything and now I'm thinking that I waited too long. I am so stressed with school right now that I am willing to just say "oh well" on the 120 bucks and chalk it up to a learning experience...I learned that I'm LAZY!! LOL
I am quite satisfied with the Colorvue fusion lenses for now, and they are serving me well. I am still on the hunt for some more comfortable non-colored lenses though, so when I get some more free time maybe on my measly one week of summer break I can search through this forum for more wonderful and helpful information!

Sincerely thanks everyone for all the help, and I hope to learn enough eventually and also have more time soon to be able to reciprocate and help others here too.

Adore is manufactured by Italian brand called Eye Med and extremely popular in Europe. I've read a lot of good reviews on european forums. Here is youtube review on Adore Bi Color by frmheadtotoe http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7NRGi-mpyQ. I ordered myself Adore in aqua, can't wait to try them on!

Well, perhaps your never-ending quest may finally be coming to an end. What do you think? Are the Bi-tone contacts everything you've ever wanted in a contact lens? Tell us all about it when you're able to take a breath.
As far as the lenses showing up on dark eyes, here's a review I found: "One thing I was really happy about was the fact that the color of these lenses is what I consider to be a true grey. On very dark eyes, all grey-toned or other white-based lenses seem to pull very blue or violet. Although Adore Bi-Tone Grey still does look slightly blue it is still much more neutral than other grey lenses I've tried. "

I think that's from the same article that galaxy_princess mentioned with the YouTube clip.
Speaking of which, those Adore contact lenses come in a super big box, don't they? Haven't they heard of "reduce, reuse, recycle"? We've got an environment to protect, guys!

Well, good luck with the A&P class and remember--the lumbar region has nothing to do with wood.

I think you look fake, I've tried this one and comparind Adore Lenses are nothing I'm much more satisfied on Adore Lenses, they cost more but I can use for three months, instead of spending 20€ for monthly freshlook I prefer spending 30€ but for 3 months

Hey I just wanted to say, make sure you check out a good amount of videos of people wearing natural touch. I saw them on someone in person and loved them. Then I got them and they are extremely obvious. If you like the really obvious look then they are good bur if not then I wouldn't suggest them. They also look better from a distance. I ended up getting grey and at times they looked white and freakish lol.

I'm sorry you were disappointed in your Natural Touch contact lenses. I've seen pictures of them and they are pretty intense.
It seems like everyone gets the Baby Blue Natural Touch contacts, and on most people they look great, but they are pretty bright with a lot of dark spots or flecks on them.

I found this picture on a cosplay website, if that tells you anything. For those of you unfamiliar with the term, "cosplay" is a contraction of "costume play" and those who participate in it do so by dressing up as cartoon characters or comic book heroes.

How about a different color? They also come in Aqua Seas, Sophisticated Blue, Willow Green, Sultry Gray and Hazel.

Hi
Yea one day I'll find more contacts that I like. I'm not dealing with natural touch anymore. Not comfy and too many issues.

Awww, sorry to hear about the misprinted lens you got. :-( Return that pair and they should give you another.
You know, check out this forum in the section about Natural Touch. I seem to remember seeing a picture side-by-side with a another brand that looks very similar. Maybe you can try those if you can't get a decent pair of Natural Touch, but I don't see why not. Let us know how this turns out, okay? We're here for you, and I'm sure you will get this sorted out.

Default Thanks LittleElvis

Gonna shop around some more before purchasing any other very bold colored contacts. I'm glad for all the advice! I will definitely post if I get some soloticas. That brand seems to be raved about as much as Natural Touch for good quality color change. I will have to wait for a better time though, when I've got more $$ LOL! But thanks for the support everyone!

They are being compared to Waicon Tri-kolor and Solotica in terms of comfort and realistic and beautiful color change. But I can't find anywhere that says if they are for dark eyes too. I'd love feedback from anyone that has tried these Adore lenses on brown eyes! Thanks!
I understand the Bi-Tone box makes a tasty snack . . .

Default Adore on dark brown eyes

I have the Aqua's but they only look that color in flash or bright lighting. In normal lighting they look grey which I love!

Yes, I love they grey coloring, too. It looks beautiful. Next time you want to post a picture, start a new thread so we don't have to scroll down before we can see your eyes. You should be up top!

Or it might have been "Hey Megan. Could you take my picture while I bite this box?

Just do it, okay?"
