Default New solotica hidrocor mel pics

Hey, I just received my solotica mels so I thought I'd show them. if anybody wants to know I bought them from a vendor called colormyeyes on Bonanzle.com and she was great and trustworthy. ALSO, my natural eye color is extremely dark brown that it looks black unless you shine a light on it lol. the solotica mels are called honey, but on dark eyes they tend to look gray/green, its different on every eye color. I forgot the exact price, but just to estimate they were over approx. $130 with shipping and the vendor is from LA. Shes great and I would recommend her to anybody. most of the pics are with flash, only one close up is without flash. on me, in person they look grayish green.

hope this helps!

Thanks for the pictures, Kamille. Those contacts really look nice on you.

Have you tried Natural Touch Opaque lenses? They look very natural too, and I found a website where you can buy them for $54.95. I believe that's for a vial containing one lens, so a pair of them would cost about $110. That would be a pretty good savings over your estimate of $130 from your LA vendor. I don't know about the Solotica lenses, but Natural Touch Opaque lenses could very well last you an entire year. Ask your eye doctor about them. $110 a year for these beautiful contact lenses is a bargain.

Here's the link: http://www.findcontactlenses.com/product_page.php?id=416

Those contacts look great on you, Kamille206. I like the one where we can see your whole face. If I were to meet you in person, I probably wouldn't be looking right at your eyeball like in the other pictures.

I wouldn't say they were fluorescent. They look very nice and natural on you.

Now these are fluorescent green eyes . . .

Yeah, you don't want eyes that look like that. Unless of course you're off to the sci-fi convention.

In which case, you would probably say "SF" rather than "sci-fi."

Don't ask me how I know that . . .

Have we got a Star Trek nerd on the board?

It's okay. We're not prejudiced around here.

Just curious, mamcita. Is that a self-portrait you posted here?

Hey now, how is our sponsor supposed to sell contact lenses when you say things like that?

I agree with you though. Natural eyes are best, but some of those Color Contact Lenses look awfully nice. Like yours for example. I think just about everyone here likes them.

Nope. I'm looking though. She was last heard from on September 25, 2010, in this thread: http://www.lens101.com/color-contact-lenses/95652-solotica-hidrocor-ice-grafite.html

They look great! Very natural! Are they Solotica Hidrocors, or Natural Colors? They don't look like the Hidrocharme ones. Plus... next time get ur lens from wrlens.com that LA vendor really over charged you! You will pay about $97.00- $108.00 depending on which style of Solotica's you buy. Hope this helps! I got my Hidrocharme ocres from wrlens and it was only $97.00 I ordered them in February 2011.

To whom are those comments directed, Godivakiss1? Are you saying that Kamille206, this thread's model is the one who looks "great" and "very natural"?

No it will be completely different, as the yellow counteracts with brown to produce the green

You might like the results, but they def won't be the same

Default Totally Understand

Oh yea, I totally understand, all the Solotica contact or basically all contacts in general look different on different colored eyes. I was just trying to figure out if yellow color contacts turn brown eyes green, and white contacts turn brown eyes grey /blue. How do I know what to expect with Blue eyes. I really like my Ice, not as much a fan of my cristals, but wanted to get a bright/light worm eye like a green or light hazel like the ad for the crystal looked.Grey-collection_27.gif

Some lenses are called "Enhancers" and they let a little bit of your natural eye color show through. If you see lenses called "Opaque," those completely cover your natural color.

Not true at all

Soloticas completely change your eye color, they are not enhancers--but some of them do so with a strong tint that mixes with your eye color

Ice are a semi-transparent white but they achieve a grey/blue on brown eyes

Mel are a semi-transparent yellow and they turn a light green on brown eyes

Enhancers only work on light eyes, that is not the case with Soloticas

Here are some pics of solotica hidrocor ice contacts by themselves and on brown eyes so you can see what I mean

As far as Mels on blue eyes, I havent found any results to refer to so I'm not sure what your result would be--with no brown to counteract they might lean too neon yellow green though

I am so tempted to get the mels, but you are right they could be neon... I just sent a photo of my eye to WRLens.com... they sell them and I hear are good about helping with this stuff. We shale see... Enhancers for me don't do much I want dramatic , but natural.

Solitica are amazing. They look so natural unlike any other contact lense brand. I hated the tiger patterns that you usually get with some. I wonder how close you have to be to the person to realise the dot matrix pattern.
