Talking Just got my Soloticas!!!
Hey everyone i just got my Solotica hidrocor mels delivered to my house today the mailman woke me up i was so excited!!! immediately i opened them up and put them in, I love them soo much!! I have very dark brown eyes and they look awesome! some of you might be thinking, i thought your eyes were light brown? because there were pictures posted before with that but that was my sister and she found out everything she needed to know about purchasing her next contacts and let me have the account, previously i've worn FreshLook ColorBlends grey. they didnt look natural at all!! i'm so excited i got my soloticas i ordered them from lensmarketplace.com and they came to $113 canadian including shipping. i reccomend these contacts they are soo natural i will get some pics up soon

They sound very comfortable if you were able to put them in after being awakened by the mailman. You're so excited you forgot to use any capital letters!

I'm looking forward to seeing those beautiful new Soloticas.

The mailman woke you up? Either your mailman does his route early or you slept in a bit. My postal carrier arrives at about 2:00 in the afternoon.

That's a good point, loveme. I don't think I've heard any complaints about Solotica contact lenses, except for the price, maybe.

I also purchased thses but in the Natural colors Quartzo. I forgot the company's name (I thnk it was panama something). They were $85 and I couldn't wear them longer than 6 hours, although I should've threw them away at 3 hours.

$85 for one lens, or was that for a pair? Did you really throw them away after wearing them once, or are you saying you should have just tossed them instead of trying to make them work like you did?

U know I had issues with the Solotica drying on my eye, loved the color so much that I got Systane over the counter (the vendor that sold me recommended it) and it works beautifully, U have to use eyes drops if it bothers your eyes. I can wear mine longer now. I just love the colors though. I got mine for $62.50 a lens and received them in 5 days.
Why did u not tolerate them well?

$85 for the pair, that's why I jumped on it. After I translated the website (or just click on the appropriate country flag) I was able to understand what the prices were and all that jazz. They have every color on that site and they also have a young lady on there for the hidrocore review (it's a video which is also posted on youtube). Oh, here is the link:

I mean, at 1st I thought they sent me the wrong pair of contacts becasue they put them in a Aqua colored Hidrocore box and I orderd the Quartzo (grey colored) in Natural Color for my dark brown eyes (they looked green on me). Then on top of that, the vials were different. One could have been old lable and the other a new updated one? Not sure, but I will never order from them again. Maybe the Natural colors are different than the Hidrocore and Hidrocharm as resulting in less comfort because of the water content and maybe thickness?? They didn't look thick, however I could immediatley tell a difference once I put them in. I felt like I had a sheild over my pupil, lol.

I'm not sure why, maybe they were a bad pair of contacts or fake Soloticas? I've never had issues with contacts and I've wore tons of brands fro the states and overseas. I even let them soak over night before I wore them??? I really loved the look even though the Quartzo looked green on me

Are you able to wear the contacts over 5 hrs?

My lenses were $85 for the pair and came in 2 wks. SO, that's the main reason i was suckered in, lol. Where did you purchase your lenses?

I actually heard about Fake Soloticas on a board. May be u got fake ones thats why they were hurting. It shouldnt hurt really. But may be dry. Wonder what u got for $85. I got mine from the same vendor on www.ioffer.com, they spent a long time answering questions. I will never order from a foreign website that I cannot communicate. Its ok, thats why we are all here. To learn and hopefully choose the correct style and color of contacts

That's a good idea, but pictures won't tell you how the contact lenses will feel in your eyes. That was loveme's problem. I'm sure the contacts looked great in pictures, but they hurt.

They didn't hurt, they were just very drying resulting in irritated eyes. Lens.com is limited and the only lenses I like made in the USA are the Illusions. Yes, I am very greatful for this site and all the members

There's a section in the Vial contact lens section of Lens 101 where you can find pictures. On this page you will find a guy modeling Illusions contacts and I think his eyes are brown, but I don't recall if he said so or not.

I've read that Solotica contact lenses are beautiful to look at, but uncomfortable to wear because they tend to dry out rather quickly. Any comments?

Yeah, I've heard that too, Healinghands. By the end of the day those can be quite uncomfortable, but I have no personal experience to conform or deny.
