Hi rebeccahmonet, and welcome to Lens 101.

You ask a tough question, because when you look at colored contact lenses on line, they will tell you what colors are available, the base curve of the contacts and the diameter of the entire lens, but usually not the diameter of the pupil. Even if they said that the pupil is, say, 10 mm, is that a big pupil opening or not?
So I don't know which contacts that the "large" pupil hole you are seeking.

I'm also confused that you're looking for "large pupil holes that will show your natural eye color through and the are natural looking?" If they let your natural color show through the pupil opening then they are NOT natural looking.

If you want Color Contact Lenses that will allow some of your true color to show through and blend with the color of the contact lens, then try Acuvue 2 Colours - Enhancers.

yeah! i totally know what you mean about it looking unnatural! i was thinking something that was more opaque on the outer part of the lens and that slowly decreased in opacity as it got towards the pupil so it wasnt so stark of a difference.

i looked at color enhancers and many brands seem to just have blue green aqua and violet, but ultimately i hoping for something grey, but cant seem to find any anywhere :P thanks for your help!!

Hello there, rebeccahmonet. I did a quick search and here are all the gray lenses offered by lens.com. As to which ones have the "fade" you described, I don't know exactly what you mean, so you may want to check them out for yourself. I've narrowed it down to nine brands for you:

What's going on, Rebecca? We haven't heard from you for a couple of months. Have you found some grey lenses someplace?

sorry not rebecca but am new and have a question....hopefully someone can help. Im looking for a colored contact that enhances light brown eyes AND has a large pupil hole if that makes sense? i tried the colorblends and my pupils are so big that the colored part of the contacts covers my vision plus they slide so my vision is pretty much blurry..thats when i wear them in my house because its fairly dim in there even during the day. I havent gone outside with them yet in the sun but im pretty sure it will be okay since my pupils will dilate smaller and will fit in the contact circle. I was interested in the enhancers but i guess they do nothing for light brown eyes. you have to have blue green or hazel. any suggestions? clear will have to do if nothings avail but i just wanted to try something different. thanks

Hi lisaeckman27. It's okay that you're not rebecca, but if you want to ask a new question and not have to scroll down past a dozen other posts to find your answers, it's better to start a new thread.

Now, your question about contact lenses with large pupil openings. I did a search for "color contacts large pupils" and found a "cosplay" forum called cosplay.com for people who like to dress like cartoon--sorry, "anime"--characters. One lens that was mentioned by an actual actress was Freshlook Colorblends. She said that they have a "large pupil hole, which is helpful because I have naturally pretty dilated pupils."

I hope that helps.

Here's a neat picture. It shows the colors that are blended to create ColorBlends contacts and also the large pupil opening.

I hope it helps lisaeckman27 too. I know it helped me to know that some people actually might want a large pupil opening in their contact lenses.

Yeah, and when I did the research for the above reply I learned that some people just naturally have wide pupils.

Nope. Not at all. Some people are famous for the wide-pupil look.

. . . although in the case of Lady Gaga there, the wide-eyed look comes from special contact lenses.

Wow. That's a shame. Sorry about your stolen computer. I hope the person who stole it gets caught. At least you got a new computer out of the deal.

Did you find any color contact lenses that have the proper fade?
