Sorry to hear that, loveme. Have you been looking forward to getting these lenses?

Default Hidrocharme Ocre was a flop

Yes waw soo excited to get these. Hardly make any difference in my eye color (dark brown) and I wanted to share that with everyone.
I have the Mels which are beautiful green Hazel and I have some other colors.
Just wish I had ordered another color (like the Icemint)
Oh well, next time

Well, seeing that this forum is sponsored by Lens.com, and that red rectangle up there is watching me, how about looking for some color contacts there?

Soloticas are pretty much the top-of-the-line color contacts, from what I've heard, but they can be expensive, and--as you discovered--a disappointment.

If you want color that covers dark eyes, give Acuvue Colours--Opaques a try: http://www.lens.com/contact-lenses/lens134.asp

There are also Natural Touch Opaque contacts available at lens.com. Opaque lenses are specially designed to hide your true color. Give them a try and check back here to tell us the results.

Fabulous! I like the Pure Hazel myself, even if I don't personally wear color contacts.

Have you posted pictures of yourself with some of your contacts in place?

How much weight does your bf's opinion have here? It doesn't sound like you're going to stop wearing the colored contacts. Wasn't he one of the main reasons you started wearing colored contact lenses?

I searched Lens 101 for the pictures you posted here, but I didn't find any.

Hi loveme. I hope your boyfriend is quick to accept the "new you." If not, are you willing to give them up? Personally, I think that if you like them, you should keep them. He'll come around.
I like the way you look with the Hazel lenses. They look nice and natural.

Is that The Boyfriend in the picture above whose left I is just at the edge of the photo?

I hope Ynot is not suggesting you give up your boyfriend. I think "them" means "the contact lenses." (At least I hope so.)

That's great. I'm glad you feel like a part of the family. We get along . . . most of the time.

If I were to give you relationship advice, it would be someone who would be willing to help you pick out Color Contact Lenses and tell you how beautiful you look.

Like Orionebula, I get the feeling that red rectangle is watching me too, so click on it and find some color contact lenses you like. FreshLook ColorBlends are very popular, you know.

We love the Red Rectangle.

SO may we see pictures of the OCRE lenses on your eye? I'm planning to buy the natural color ocre and my eyes are dark brown. Since you say it didn't really make much of a difference except enhanced your dark eyes...then that's what I want. It would really help me make my decision. Thx.

If he is, that's a problem. The main purpose of this site is to help people who are having issues with their lenses, whether they're in glasses, sunglasses or they're contact lenses.

The secondary purpose is to get the word out about the sponsor. Coming on this site to advertise for a competitor is just plain disrespectful. While you're at it, why not park your Ford truck at the Chevy dealership and try to sell that?

I agree.

It's pretty well-known that this site is sponsored by Lens.com, and there's nothing wrong with that. Lots of forums have a sponsor.
It's also well known that Lens.com does not sell Solotica contact lenses, yet there are a whole bunch of questions on here about Solotica contacts. So it's not just about advertising the sponsor, it's more about helping people see more clearly and more comfortably.

Hi Loveme,

I needed some suggestion...I got my first solotica lens in ocre and I was disappointed as well. They seem to only enhance my eyes, seems as if they are barely there. I have medium complexion with dark hair so I didn't want anything over the top but still wanted a visible change in my eye color. Since you own 5 colors in solotica, I was thinking maybe you can help me out. I would like to give solotica another try but I don't know which one to go for now. I'm looking for something between hazel/green or gray/green. I'm tempted to try out the Mels but I'm afraid they might not show either. Any suggestions?

Thanks you!

Not even close to blue lol. I have dark brown almost black eyes. "Bluechick" is just a random username...it is a brand on my friend's keychain, I couldn't think of a name so I got the idea from there.

Thanks for explaining, bluechick. It's understandable why someone would think you had blue eyes from that screen name.

Meanwhile, back to your question. This site is sponsored by Lens.com, and they don't sell Solotica lenses, but they don't seem to mind people talking about them on this forum. Check them out and see if they have something you like. I'd recommend Natural Touch Opaque lenses. I hear they cover dark eyes well and come in Aqua Seas, Baby Blue, Hazel, Sophisticated Blue, Sultry Grey and Willow Green.

Are they available? I've been searching for them left and right. I've called several optometrist offices and I was informed that the Natural Touch are discontinued.

For anyone that has tried Natural Touch are they in any way comparable even slightly to Solotica. So far in my opinion the Illusions come close to the Solotica but they do make my iris look smaller just like the solotica
hidrocor.

Anyone who has tried the different soloticas styles, is there a major different in the pupil size and iris size between the hidrcor and natural color?

Thank you!

Maybe someone should contact the Webmaster for Lens.com. They still appear to be selling them.

http://www.lens.com/contact-lenses/lens290.asp

If you decide to order the lenses, could you please tell me what happens? There's nothing on the page there that says "This lens has been discontinued by the manufacturer" or anything, so I'm curious as to what stage in the ordering process you get a roadblock. Thanks. Who knows, maybe Lens.com has them after all.

I called Lens.com and they told me that the Natural Touch has been discontinued but they still have a few available - you would have to call them to inquire about the particular color, prescription, and base curve you are looking for and they would check to see if they still have it in the inventory.

Good for you for taking the initiative and picking up the telephone. Did you order some of their last Natural Touch lenses then?

Actually, I decided not to. I'm afraid of purchasing them without trying them out first. They look pretty nice on all the pics I've seen but the problem is that color contacts look different on different people so I decided not to take the risk.

Red face Helpme Loveme!

Loveme could you please post a picture of your eyes with the hidrocharme ocre lenses in and one without them in so I can see if your eyes are comparable to mine so I know if they will make any difference for me? I was about to confidently purchase a pair online based on my research until I came across your post and now I'm going to wait... if you could pls post pics I would be sooo grateful!!

Can you go to your doctor's office and get some trial contacts? I agree that it's better to try them on yourself then to look at pictures of other people.

How can this one testimony shake your confidence which was based on research? Not everyone is going to be thrilled with those Hidrocharme contact lenses. If your prior research gave you such confidence, go ahead and pull the trigger on your order. Do you agree?

Default You Big Dummy

Does anyone else hear the theme from "Sanford and Son" when they see this truck, or is it just me?
