Default Solotica Alternatives

I've been noticing on this forum that a lot of posts are about color contact lenses from Waicon/Solotica. I don't know much about color contacts lenses, except that Soloticas are rather expensive. Our forum members can probably save money by ordering something else. Can anyone suggest less expensive, yet beautiful Color Contact Lenses to recommend to Lens 101 members and visitors?

Those Solotica contact lenses are very beautiful--and very expensive. There's really not much that can compare to them. The only one I could suggest would be Natural Touch contacts, also known as Elegance. They have a very bold color pattern that looks like the Solotica lenses.

Thanks, Healinghands2. I see a lot of people talking about Solotica lenses as well, and I was hoping to find out what other lenses out there were comparable to them. You answered my question before I asked it. I guess I have Privateyez to thank for posting it.

FreshLook ColorBlends could probably give Soloticas a run for their money. To be honest, the Natural Touch contacts that HealingHands2 recommended are nice, but the pattern is a bit severe.

Here's a young lady with brown eyes showing us the Sapphire color.

You're welcome. I haven't seen that picture for a while and I was again surprised at how well the blue contacts cover her brown eyes. She looks beautiful.

Yes, she does. She reminds me of Beverly Mitchell from Seventh Heaven.

Default Sometheng A Little More Local

I did my own search and was surprised to find very little in the way of alternatives for Solotica contact lenses. I have nothing against them except for the fact that they are not available in the US. Interestingly enough, there's a site called freshlookcolorcontacts.net which advertises Solotica lenses . . . sort of. That's one of those useless sites that have no content except for a pile of what the web "masters" (I use the term loosely and with not a little contempt.) hope are common search terms.

So buy American, buy from Lens.com!

Yeah, I found this site again today and thought her blue eyes looked very intense.

I agree Sk8terboi. Solotica lenses are very beautiful and realistic looking, but if you're one of the nearly 40 million people in the US who wear contact lenses, you can't get them in your homeland. That's a serious drawback in my opinion.

Maybe the Solotica people need to wake up to a market of millions.

So buy American, buy from Lens.com!
Yes, as I said, they're beautiful, probably the best looking contacts out there, but since I live in the United States, I can't seem to buy them. Kind of like those movie channels your parents didn't subscribe to when you were a kid. It might have been nice to see the movies, but they were not accessible to you.

You're right FirstDown. To ignore American consumers is to ignore a nation known for shopping frenzies.

You're right, SteveKemp. I think those ColorBlends contacts can really give those other lenses some stiff competition.

I'm glad you think so, FirstDown.

Here in this thread we also see the harmonious convergence of a baseball name like mine with a football term like yours.

Those contacts are a very dark blue color. I don't think I've met anyone who has had dark blue eyes like that.

Yes, she is famous for her violet eyes (not dark blue).
