Default Solotica Hidrocor Ocre on dark eyes

Hi i'm new here and i was just wondering what hidrocor ocre looks like on dark brown almost black eyes? I ordered the hidrocor ice and it looks terrible on my eyes.. i have dark hair and tan skin.. and the color just looks awful.
Also i'm stuck whether i should order hidrocor ocre or the mel, but i've looked at some pictures of the mel and it looks too green..
I want my eyes to look more light brown/honey-ish.. argh so confused!
Help please!

mels are more green and won't achieve what you're looking for. and Ocres are just way to subtle...

Thanks for replying, i've ruled out the mels but i'm still on the fence about whether i should order the hidrocor ocre since the ice looks weird on me

You're lucky they suit you. I'm usually into big changes with my lenses but the ice were a bit too much for me. I look more zombie than human as you can see in the pic especially with my skin color and black hair..too light and blue for my liking.
I hope the ocre won't be as cloudy looking

The pic makes them look ok i guess...but that is not the case in real life! I've worn them out with friends and they called me zombie...witch.. wolfy.. that chick from the xmen movie.. blind and old looking... Also my lil cousin wouldn't come near me so yeah the feedback wasn't that great LOL.
It would be great to see how they look on your eyes!

I don't know, they look pretty nice to me (at least in the picture you posted). However, you are the final judge, and if you say they're too light, then they're too light.
Have you tried some of the contacts offered by Lens.com? The FreshLook ColorBlends are quite popular. Just click on the red button above, or if you want to go straight to the color contact lens section, just copy and paste this address: http://www.lens.com/contact-lenses/department95.asp

Let me know how you like the contacts, okay?

Hi Marcy, and welcome to our little eyewear forum here. It sounds to me like the FreshLook ColorBlends are okay. Maybe they're not great, but they're better than the much-ballyhooed Solotica lenses. Why not stick with the ColorBlends? They look good and they're reasonably priced.

Me again. I read this thread again and looked around and this picture caught my eye. I thought that those ice blue eyes looked amazing. Have you changed your mind about them, 123chantz?

Unfortunately my mind has not changed..i tried them out a couple more times and they are really not for me...i shall save them for halloween! I just ordered the hidrocor ocres and fingers crossed they will suit me far better!

Here is a picture of me wearing honey contact lenses.. however they have discontinued the brand i just hope my ocres will kinda give me the same effect...

Lens.com has six different kinds of contact lenses in Honey. You might want to try one of them, and you will probably save money.
Acuvue 2 Colours - Opaques, Durasoft 3 ColorBlends, Durasoft 3 ColorBlends MTO, good old FreshLook ColorBlends, and if you are looking for toric lenses for astigmatism, you have Durasoft 3 Optifit Toric - ColorBlends and FreshLook ColorBlends Toric.

Personally, I'd recommend Acuvue 2 Colours - Opaques. They're probably closest to what you're used to.

I think I'm going to have to agree with ftngirsh and say that these contacts look awesome on you. Seriously. They don't look scary or "zombie-like" at all. I think they look really good with your dark hair.

Maybe if you posted a picture of your whole face, so we can get a better idea of how they work (or don't work) with your skin tone, we can see how awful they apparently look.

Why would you want to do that? Well, you can either prove your point or get more people telling you how beautiful you look. Sounds like you win either way.

Well, we see how well that worked Ynot.

I have to agree that based on what I can see of 123chantz's hair and eyes, I'd love to see her smile, too.
