Default Problem with new colorblends?

Hi,
Just received my first pair of colored contacts. They are Freshlook Colorblends.
They are pure Hazel and they look very good in my eyes. They problem i am having is they feel very weird to wear. They are very slim so not exactly uncomfortable but i find i have some difficulty seeing with them. I am not sure if i am seeing a slight haze from the color of if they are moving around a lot.
Just seem a lot different than my dailys and i'm not sure if i will be able to wear these on a regular basis. The BC is a little bigger then my dailys. Is this a normal reaction with colored contacts?
I am considering seeing my optometrist to see if i would be better suited with a different brand.

Hi kerouacknew. Welcome to Lens 101.

I don't wear FreshLook ColorBlends myself, but I've read a lot of good reviews here on Lens 101. You say that the base curve of these contact lenses is "a little bigger" than your daily contacts. How much bigger?
I'm no expert, but to me it sounds like you just need to wear them a little longer to get used to them. Try them for another two or three days. You may also want to make an appointment with your eye doctor and then try to wear the contacts every day until then. Do you think that's worth a try?

My Expressions Colors did that at first, I don't remember them doing it when I had them years ago but this round they did. Things looked hazy/foggy. I cleaned them well every day and after a few days the haze disappeared.

Glad to hear it . . . er . . . I mean, read it, lizzypoo. I hope kerouacknew experiences a similar quick recovery.

Thanks for the replies. Not sure if i am gong to be so lucky. I tried them again today and only wore them for about an hour or so before they started to drive me crazy and i had to take them out. The left eye especially bothers me. Just hazy and unable to see really well. I may try them again but i have booked an appointment with the doctor to see what he recommends. The base curve is 14.5 compared to 14.2. Its too bad because they look great.

How many times have you tried wearing these Freshlook Colorblends? It doesn't sound like you've been wearing them long.
You say these are your first pair of colored contacts. Have you worn clear contacts before?
Hopefully this is just a matter of getting used to the new contacts. Make sure to come back and tell us what your doctor says.

I have wore contacts for like 10 years without any problems. I am thinking its a fit problem. Sent a email to Clearly contacts to see if i can return the 5 sets that i have not used but have my doubts. They might be for sale cheap as i can't see wearing them again.
Thanks for the replies.

Good luck with returning those lenses. You would think that contact lens companies would be okay with getting sealed packages back, but they are funny about that kind of thing. Let us know what happens.

Yea, don't look like they are willing to tale them back. If anyone is interested in these i am willing to sell them cheap. I might as well try to recoup some money. I have five pairs brand new -2.75 and -3.00 is the prescription and the color is pure hazel.
If these will work for someone please pm me.

Boy, I'm sorry that didn't work out for you kerouacknew. What's next? Are you going to try a different brand of colored contacts now?

Just curious, kerouacknew. Where did you get these contact lenses from?

Wow, look at that. We're both on line at the same time!

I'm not used to getting replies five minutes after I post them.

So what's next? Are you going to stick with the FreshLook ColorBlends you ordered or are you going to try a new pair?

This forum has a section just for ColorBlends, did you know that?

Hey Petra,
I think i will just be sticking to my own natural ones.
Am thinking that colored ones are just not for me. I tried another pair also and did not like them.
I will save the colorblends for special occasions i guess.
Cheers

I'm curious to know if you have any particular "special occasion" in mind for wearing your ColorBlends? Would you go to a wedding and wait for someone to say "I didn't know you had hazel eyes"?
