Hey there Eltonloni. Nice to see your handsome face once again.

I like the color of those contacts, but the dark "spokes" coming out from the center are a little distracting.

Here's a picture I found when I did a Google search for "blue eyes." As far as I know this young lady is not wearing any contact lenses. She certainly doesn't have any dark spokes on her eyes. Notice how smooth and even the blue is? In my opinion, this is how contact lenses should look.

Do I see The Simpsons on the TV behind you, eltonlani?

Good lad.

Or should I say "Woo hoo!"

Anyway, those contact look really good on you. Yeah, those dark lines are a little distracting, but I don't think they'll get in the way unless you really get in someone's face. That's up to you . . .

Judging by the suit and tie, I'd say Homer was going to church back there.

Anyway, nice contacts eltonlani. A good, vivid blue color, but the speckles are a bit of a distraction, though. I just don't understand the dots in the contacts.

Can anyone find me a picture of some natural eyes that have those dots? Here's a picture that has some subtle lines radiating out from the center, and maybe a few spots here and there, but not a regular pattern of dots.

Those would be really nice lenses, except for the speckles.

How many contact lenses out there look as natural as the picture Tradecade here put up? Either they have all kinds of dark lines and dots, or they're just completely one blank color. Why don't the manufacturers take the middle road and make them look more realistic?

You're right, Earthshock. The contacts that are just one even tone don't look very realistic either. I take back what I said earlier. Contacts should have a few speckles and lines to make them look more natural.

That's a natural iris there, right Tradecade? No contact lens in that eye?

They look really good. I was thinking about getting them as my next set. Are they soflens natural colours? They had a really good review on the site I got my freshlook colourblends from and are readily available in UK!

I tend to be wary ordering from overseas! Plus the import tax is high. I got mines from a UK site they have B&L, freshlook and ciba vision. I was looking for the "natural touch" colours I think it's durasoft 3? I managed to find them on a UK site aswell for £58 each The money i'd save ordering from here would go on the tax!

That's a good point, Tiggs. Perhaps the Powers That Be at Lens.com can figure a way around that problem.

Legally, of course . . .

At any rate, I'm glad you found Lens 101 to be helpful.

Wow, that dot matrix pattern really shows up in those lenses.

What kind of lenses are you looking for? Natural Touch and Durasoft 3 are two different lenses, and I think I read something here on Lens 101 about the Natural Touch lenses being discontinued. Let us know what kind of lenses you're looking for and we'll help you find them. A picture of the box would be very helpful.

I'm from the States and it says here that you're from Scotland. It's hard to imagine the US as being "overseas." Have you had a problem before with ordering contact lenses from the United States besides the import tax?

It's been a little over six months since you posted this. How are those contacts now?

so I got my lenses and I have to say tho they are very pretty and I like them, they dry out very quickly so I cant wear them for too long. also the base curve is weird so they kinda hurt after I take them out so I think Ill only wear them when I go out. heres a couple of pics, I dont look great I took them when I just woke up but here ya go.

So they dry out quickly and they "kinda hurt" when you take them out. Are you sure they're fitted properly? Maybe you should go back to your eye doctor and have the fit checked.

Yeah, when you use the phrase "they kinda hurt" then something needs to be done differently. A fit check is a good place to start.
