Question Harry Potter's Eyes

I've never read any of the Harry Potter books, but I'm told that the character has green eyes, but Daniel Radcliffe has blue eyes. I wonder why he didn't wear green contacts for the movies?

I think he tried wearing them in the first movie, but I don't know, they left it blue in the succeeding movies for some reason...

or maybe, they just don't pay attention with the eyes, though the first thing that we could notice especially scenes that his eyes focus, we can't dent to ask that i guess.

Oh, I would image they paid attention to a lot of the fiddly details. You know how kids are, and you know there have to be a lot of adults who watch Harry Potter who are like that Comic Book Guy on the Simpsons. He would have caught the eye color thing in an instant and been able to quote you the proper description chapter and verse.

I think maybe Mr. Radcliffe was uncomfortable with colored contact lenses, but you would think that the Special Effects Guys could do something about that.

Isn't his eye color a bit important in the books? You'd think they could work the green in somehow. Though I guess they didn't know as much early on in the series.

I'm afraid I don't know all that much about Harry Potter, as I said, but I'm glad I got such a good response to my questions. Thanks, everyone. Can anyone tell me about Harry's eye color in the books?

I know you're out there, Potter fans!

Default Louise Jameson

This is a picture of actress Louise Jameson. Her most famous role was Leela in Doctor Who. She said in an interview that she wore red (?) contact lenses to make her blue eyes brown for the role. Later on something was written into the script that made Lela's eyes turn blue (Some kind of explosion or something. Help me out Doctor Who fans.) and so the actress no longer had to use the contact lenses she couldn't see through. I wonder if Daniel Radcliffe had a similar story?
