Have you ever walked past someone who is wearing contacts and noticed it straight away thinking " damn that looks fake, it almost looks like her eyes are falling out!"
Thats probably because the person wearing it has a very dark shade of eyes and trying to pull off a super light blue contacts. Yet, you see celebrities, who are naturally dark eyed, wearing bright blue colors. Example, ashwariya Rai who is said to have very dark eyes. Haifa Wehbe who is an arab so naturally dark eyes. even Paris Hilton who i always thought to be a blue eyed blond is apparently dark eyed! ![]() So I was doing research on which contact lens would suit me best, as my eyes are of a very dark brown! and found out at all of them wear waicon trikolor! But seeing everyone on here putting ot on and showing the natural waay it looks without the celebrity retouching. I was not convinced that I wanted to buy it with out the "eyes falling out" effect! But I was reaaaaaally imressed with the Solotica contacts after seeing it on many of you here! I was about to order but decided to type in color contacts on VERY DARK eyes in youtube and found this! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u90N8DCainc IT LOOOKS AMAZING! I have super dark eyes! so I was wondering if any of you have tried the magic top contacts, and if you can can you please post picture? please one with natural eye color and one with contact on! ![]() |

I looked at that YouTube link and it's a girl modeling Magic Top contact lenses. They look nice, but it seems like someone posts something about those contacts every day as well. Are they really that fantastic, or is our forum being invaded? |

I looked through this forum for more posts about them, and googled the brand to find more info about it! but couldnt find much information on it, hence the reason why i made this post to see if there were ACTUAL people who wanted to share their experience on it! I only saw one magic top post from that brazillian girl! and to be honest i didn't find the gray looking as good as the one on the video! So I am sorry that i made u feel like i am invading ur personal space! i didn't meant to 'invade' |

Don't worry about "invading space." You are more than welcome here at Lens 101, as long as you don't keep trying to get people to buy contacts lenses from someone else besides our sponsor, Lens.com. Or sell shoes. For some reason there is a lot of shoe spam on this site. Shoes, contact lenses, they go together, right? ![]() Lens.com does not sell Magic Top lenses, but if you want to talk about them, that would probably be okay It all depends on the will of the Great and Powerful Admin. I'd like to hear from people who actually have tried the Magic Top contacts too. Like I said, I've been reading a lot about them here in the last few days and I'm wondering what all the hype is about. Peace. |

The forum is sponsored by www.lens.com, an American Contact lens and (I think sunglasses) Mail Order company. They are relatively tolerant even of links to competitors if they are posted in a genuine post and not by some low life spammer. Unfortunately, there has been an increasing amount of SPAM here recently - mainly jewellery, shoes, sweatshirts and some engineering stuff. The Admins delete it as fast as they are notified by members. The Magic Top lens topic is relatively new here - only during the last week or so, so maybe some people are suspicious you were selling them. No need to delete your post as we will assume you are a genuine contact lens wearer and just want some information, or wish to answer some of the questions on this forum if you have experience with the particular lenses. I'm not sure that Lens.com can sell the Magic Top lenses. They are, I think Brazilian, like the Solotica lenses and if they are not US FDA Approved, then I don't think Lens.com can legally sell them. So, after that brief hiccup, settle down and enjoy the forum . The members here all try to be friendly and helpful so I'm sure you will find it a rewarding experience being here.knotlob |

I think that Curlupndye is reacting to that spam that Knotlob mentioned, about the shoes and jewelry and stuff. This is a very tolerant forum, but then people come along and ruin it by posting things that have nothing to do with contact lenses or sunglasses. There are others who say things like "you should by X brand contact lenses at competitorswebsite.com." As someone else said on this forum before, it's a bit like walking into Burger King and telling everyone there that they should go to McDonald's. Perhaps Curlupndye was feeling a bit paranoid. ![]() Deep breath. Now . . . you, miroma, are guilty of none of those things. You simply came to Lens 101 at a bad time. I'm sorry about that. You had a great post about colored contact lenses that can be worn even by people with very dark eyes, and I'm sure lots of dark-eyed people will appreciate your suggestions. I hope you know that your comments and questions are most welcome here. I'm sorry your first experience here was a bad one, but this really is a great forum full of very nice people. Okay? ![]() |

Again, i do understand all the commotion about the spams. But as i quote my previous post again!... I seriously, just wanted people to share their experience with the Magic top lens, compared to the Solotica, as i have seen many post in the forum on the solotica with many complaints about itchy or dry eyes and wanted to know which one is better! as they are both quite pricy, and i didnt want to order it jst to find out it looked too fake as many contacts do on dark eyes! |

Wow! I've only seen one other post on Magic Top Lenses and am a little confused by the statement of curlupndye about being invaded. Two threads constitutes invasion?? Hilarious!
Anyway, I have been curious about these lenses myself after seeing them on YouTube. To me it seems like the Brazilian lenses look more natural. I'm only interested in the Hazel or Mel lenses. Therefore, those are the only lenses I'm referring to when I say the Brazialian ones look more natural. At least in my comparison of those colors watching YouTube vids. |

Curlupndye said--and I copy and paste--"I looked at that YouTube link and it's a girl modeling Magic Top contact lenses. They look nice, but it seems like someone posts something about those contacts every day as well. Are they really that fantastic, or is our forum being invaded?" He or she was simply commenting on the fact that after hearing nothing about these "Magic Top" lenses, suddenly there are posts every day. It's more than two. Don't you think that's odd? Probably just a coincidence. From what I read, Curlupndye just wants to know what's so special about these lenses that people are asking about them all of a sudden. Now when you say "the Brazilian lenses" you mean Solotica, right? You think they look more natural that the Magic Top contacts? I think the Solotica lenses look really nice and natural too. |

By Brazialian I was referring to Solotica, Magic Top, Waicon and Adore. From what I have seen in reference to brown or hazel lenses (only colors of interest to me). Those are the better in my opinion. In comparison to the American lenses I have seen thus far.
Again, this is my personal opinion in regards to the only colors of interest to me!! |

From what I have gathered, yes they are all Brazilian. I saw then on three different websites and all of those sites were in Brazil. But, iI someone knows differently please let me know.

A search on our good friend Google indicates that Waicon lenses are made by pfortner. Pfortner is an Argentinian company. So S America, but not Brazil.

I don;t know what you meant by so s america, as argentina is not american!

No, of course not! What I meant is: so (it's i.e. Argentina) is S America, but not Brazil, as had previously been posted. (I don't think I said that Argentina was America ).knotlob |

it was easier if you had just said it's argentinian! rather than the long way you took...lol! |

LoL r u insinuating that i am stupid? When someone refers to America, they are often referring to the US. AND it is a common knowledge, that the continent SOUTH AMERICA, is differentiated from the UNITED STATES, and for many HYSPANIC (in other words LATIN AMERICANS) it is illegal to live in the US unless they optain a CITIZENSHIP. Saying to-may-to/to-ma-to does seriously not apply here! it's like saying Caribbean’s are Americans! Yeh sure they are south Americans but how come people still say THE CARRIBEAN? And refer to MEXICO as LATIN America? BECAUSE IT IS A TOTALLY DIFFERENT CONTINENT!!! IT'S CALLED SOUUUUUTH AMERICA! ![]() AND BTW if you had not jumped in without reading the whole post, you would have realised that we were also discussing BRAZIL and ARGENTINA! rather than america! so before you go put into BRIGHT COLORS 'especially for me', read what has been said! |

True, when someone says "I drive an American car" or "I'm dating an American girl" most people automatically think of the United States, but that still doesn't change the fact that there's a continent called "South America." It's not called "South England" or "South Neptune." At any rate, the thread started out talking about Magic Top contacts for people with dark eyes. I've never tried them, so I really can't comment. I can, however, post a picture of a cute girl wearing grey Magic Top contacts in her medium brown eyes. |

South America is very definitely NOT America. It's like calling Scotland England , or Southern Ireland (Eire), Great Britain because Ulster/Northern Ireland are part of the United Kingdom. Some folks in Southern Ireland would rather eat their own liver than be called British!!knotlob |

![]() Then there was my Canadian friend who recoiled in horror at the thought that she could be considered American because Canada is part of North America. Perhaps we should just stick to discussing color contact lenses. ![]() |
