Thanks for the pictures Sky. I wonder if any of our members out there have any actual photographs of these lenses? I noticed that the ones that they call "yellow" look green to me.

Hi Guinness,

The last pic (tritone) is on my natural drab green eyes.
And you're right, the yellow give green gleam on medium brown eyes.

I'm gonna search actual pics ... I'll give "investigation result" !

Oh, I don't think the look so bad. The outline on the outer edge is kinda weird, but the color itself looks nice.
Still, they're your eyes and if you don't way the way they look on you, out they go!

On the other hand, what do you think about this? Other people are going to be looking at your eyes more than you will be, so if you're not crazy about them but your friends and family think they look great on you, would you keep them after all?

It's funny ! What i don't like isn't the outer ring, it's the streaks, too high contrast. It was my tritone try.
I think i'm gonna try BItone, they're more shaded of (or faded ?) i don't understant well the difference between these 2 words.

I don't want total color change. I'd like to keep my natural green, but more light, bit larger iris.

NATURAL EYES COLOR, NATURAL OUTDOOR LIGHT

WHAT I'D LIKE perhaps in another life

I think that would be a good look. Are you going to post pictures once you get the color contact lenses?

If you ask me about the difference between "shaded" and "faded," "shaded" sound like something is being darkened, like being in the shade, and "faded" means something's getting lighter, like the color of your jeans after several washings.

It looks like those contact lenses are the same color as your natural eyes, except for the dark limbal ring around the edge. Are there lenses out there that are clear except for the black edge?

Cool Allure contacts. Limbal ring only!

To answer your question, yes there is. I have a pair...

As you can see, the eye on "your" left has the Limbal ring, and other eye doesn't have a lens on it. Its called Allure, and I made a post about it.

Hi Deejayt,

Oops, i understand what Kyleden talked about !
So they are colorless exept for the limbal ring ? Is it a thin limbal ring or a "big circle" like asian lenses ?

Well, as you can see, Its pretty thin, I think. lol It not a circle lens. I don't think the Dark circle really goes out over the white part of the eye to give it a larger look, just make your eye have a dark limbal ring around the iris.

Try Lens.com. They're an American company, but I think they do international orders as well. They don't carry Marietta Vision lenses as far as I know, but they might have something just as good for a lower price. Check it out and let us know, OK?

It looks to me like Deejayt's eye is a little bit darker with the lens in, so I don't think it's just a dark ring.

Hi Shade,

So you think that these "allure/equinox" lenses are a "very little bit" colored ???

I went over to coastal contacts to see about those Allure contact lenses. Since they are a competitor to the sponsor, I felt like I should put on a trench coat and sunglasses. I decided to just casually stroll over there and see what was there.
Here's what I was able to find out. "Allure (Equinox) is a clear contact lens with a black "limbal" ring for cosmetic enhancement and ease of handling. The black ring on these contacts give your natural color more definition and makes your eyes look larger - like mascara for your eyes!"

As opposed to what? Mascara for your toes?

If you look at the "before and after" picture, you will see that there is no color change, except for the dark ring around the iris.

No so much for determining if the lenses have a bit of color. All the pictures are in black and white except the bottom one, where the picture is black and white except for the artificially tinted iris. The description gives details such as the diameter and composition, but nothing is listed about a color or tint.

I suppose it does help in confirming that these lenses are not tinted in any way.

Default They have no tint

They are clear contacts. Just have the little black ring. They don't even have a handling tint. Clear as can be. I own them so I wouldn't lie to anyone.

I believe you Deejayt. In the pictures above they look clear and have that dark ring around the outside edge. It makes a difference, though. It's a good idea to invent contact lenses that are clear except for the dark ring.

Yes they are soft yellow, pastel yellow, with a subtle iris ring.
I like them very much.
They are very natural on me.
