Default Bausch and lomb "pacific"

Well after a long wait my b&l's came on thurs! I was so excited as they have a smaller pupil hole and have a high rating. I put them in and my first impression was wow they are really thick lenses. The left one, when I took it out immediately folded and stuck together-I panicked but soaked it for a while and it came apart. The next again day it did the same. These lenses were very uncomfortable at first and at night my eyes were bright red and itchy. It happened thurs and fri night and now they are a lot more comfortable and no itchiness and no redness. Here are some pics, there's no point in the big close up pics, that's not a "true" rep so here are some with my face and hair . I think the colour is too bright for my skin tone, let me know what you think

Facing the natural light

This one is with flash which is why I look like I should be squinting!

forgot to add these are my normal eyes lol

Thanks

Thanks for the pictures, Tiggs. I'm glad you included pictures under different lighting conditions.
I agree that pictures that include your face and hair are more useful than closeups of your eyeball. That color looks nice on you. Nice and natural. I don't think they're too bright for your skin tone. Have you gotten feedback from your friends and family on these contacts? What kind are they besides "B & L"? PureVision? Optima? SofLens?

Thanks for the feedback! They are the soflens.
I don't know why I look so pale in photos but my skin tone is dark due to being mixed race (african/arab) so I thought omg these are too bright! My bf thinks they look nice but brown eyes are "warmer"
My friends really like them

Do you think maybe you should have cleaned your room before taking the pictures?

Not really any point since my 16 month old daughter has to sleep there too she just makes a mess.
The clothes behind me are hanging on a clothes horse due to not having a garden as we are in a flat so it makes the place look untidy but what can you do :P

You're right, it is a contact lens site, but the cluttered background is a bit distracting. Not that you don't look good in those contacts, though.
I don't have any children, but a lot of my friends do, and I've seen how priorities change. It's not unusual to see someone wearing the same T-shirt and jeans she wore they day before--only today there's a new spit-up stain. Life goes on.

Seriously, the blue contacts look beautiful on you. You made a good color choice. How do they feel? Are they more comfortable now?

Thankyou I still think they are too light! They are a lot more comfy now, really easy to put in and take out, The right one sticks together sometimes but it's easy to take apart. I had seen a few people had said due to the size of the pupil hole they couldn't see properly at night. I don't have this problem which is good! Because they are only available in 2 months supply I still have another box of pacific but I think the next ones are going to be the "topaz" colour as they are darker but I haven't seen them on a "real" person since it's the "platinum" which are I would say the most popular colour

I tried to find a picture of a "real" person wearing these contact lenses, but I don't know what you mean by "Pacific" contact lenses. Is that the color? What's the name of the lenses? SofLens 59? SofLens38? PureVision? Optima?

Sorry it's colour! The actual lenses are called soflens natural colours. The next colour I will get is going to be topaz I think.

Oh, there you are. Thanks for responding in about five minutes.

Here's a nice picture of a real person (Well . . . a real eyeball.) wearing SofLens Natural Colors lenses in topaz. It's a nice color, isn't it?

Here are some pics that just look weird

I just look plain scary! Far too light for my complexion!

More pictures, nice.

The top picture doesn't look so bad. The other one, yeah, your eyes do seem to be a slightly unnatural shade of blue.

Don't be so hard on your self, Tiggs. I think the contacts look pretty good. They may look a little "scary" close up, but from a normal distance they look good.

Hi Tiggs. I noticed that you seem to be wearing a white tank top in all the pictures. Were they all taken on the same day?

Yes, the pics were taken the same day unless you are implying that i'm a tink and wear the same clothes everyday O.o
For a contact lens forum you lot get distracted by everything don't you haha. Next time I shall crop just my eyes and eyebrows!

No, don't crop your pictures. I like to see how contact lenses compliment the person's skin tone and hair color. In your case, they all work together well.

I think HVAC just mentioned your shirt to make conversation. I think that shows keen observation skills.

Yeah Tiggs, I agree with JT here. I like to see a person's face, hair and at least the shoulders to see how the contact lenses look in their natural environment. Those contacts look very nice in context with your face and hair. Blue is a good color for you.

For the record, I didn't think anyone was implying that you don't change clothes. A white tank top is a good basic item and I'm sure people have more than one. I know I do.

I haven't been to this thread in a while. How are you Tiggs? Are you still wearing those contacts? What kind are they? You just said they were "B & L's."

By the way--I'm glad to see your face and hair and not just one eye. It looks much better that way. Thanks.

This color is really good yeah, used to wear pacific before and it suits very well for my green eye color. I tried all the models in "natural colors" serie adn I must say pacific is damn good for light eyes, and it covers darker eyes as well.

Thanks for the endorsement. What color is "this color" though? Is it Pacific?

I'm glad you didn't crop everything but your eyes and eyebrows, Tiggs. I like to see the person's face and hair when they post a picture. It makes them look more like people than just floating eyeballs.
