Default good coverage lenses

Hi everyone,

So i tried some different freshlook colorblend lenses.
Pure hazel, honey and brown.
The pure hazel was absolutely beautiful and looked so natural.
But with honey and brown my real real eye color was shining through...

So right now i'm looking for a brand lenses that will cover my green eyes as much as possible.
I hope someone can help me out

I'm also very curious how many hours a day you guys wear your lenses. And do you wear every day?

~xxx~

It sounds like you have a winner with the FreshLook ColorBlends Pure Hazel. Are you looking for more shades of brown?

So your Pure Hazel contacts are "absolutely beautiful and looked so natural." That's great, I'm glad you found something you like. Do they not cover your eyes enough?

@ wendy94: yes i am all shades of brown.

@ Curlupndye: The pure hazel didn't really cover my real eye color. But it blended with my green eyes which gave me a dark greenish effect. But i am looking for brown contacts <.<

Here are a whole bunch of lenses that come in brown. Most of them seem to be vial lenses, which are more expensive than the others. I wonder why that is?

http://www.lens.com/view/brown.asp

I noticed that one brand not listed on this page sells hazel contacts, which did not come up in the search for brown contact lenses.

Let us know if you decide to make a purchase, okay?

Instant Reply. I love it.

Not to be confused with an instant replay, though.

Noodle,

Are you looking for more "shimmery" browns? Your advice for me (I've green-gray eyes too) about the Images CL-Tinters was spot on - they're not shimmery, but they give me a great warm brown color.

Default Well, whattdya know ...

The Freshlook Colorblend sample I got was so-so - turning my gray-green eyes a bronze color. I bought a box anyway (it's good to be able to get planos )

I opened the box and put them in tonight.

WOW!

Much darker than the samplers and turns my eyes darker brown at the edges and a lighter brown towards the center - really nice!

So I have the Images CL-Tinters for a more solid look and the Colorblends for a lighter look!

@ PB10016:

The CL - tinters were gorgeous but the only problem was that they were a slighty to big for my eyes. To bad....

But i'm curious about the brown colorblends^^
It shouldn't be a problem in size this time since i already tried colorblends.
I'm only afraid that my real eyecolor will be very noticable

So could you post a picture with the brown colorblend???
I have the exact same eyecolor as you

@Noodle - no problem - pics this weekend.

The colorblends may be too big also - they are 14.5 and I think the CL-Tinters were 14.2

I'm looking forward to those pictures, too. I'm glad you like the ColorBlends so much. How did you get the lenses in two different sizes? Is that they way the eye doctor wrote out the prescription?

I ordered the CL-Tinters from the UK, which doesn't need a prescription - and they don't come in a 14.5 diameter - only 14.2. Since I'm wearing planos, the eye doctor just made sure that the base curve and size was OK.

That's interesting because here in the United States, even plano lenses require a prescription. Planos may not correct your vision, but as you said, an eye doctor needs to be there to make sure the diameter and base curve are correct.

I can see a bit of PB10016's true eye color, but only the merest sliver. That's not so sad.

I have green eyes with a brown corona around the iris - they work out quite well.

Noodle,

The Tinters cover my eyes more, but provide a more even brown color; the colorblends are a little lighter, but have a nice darker at the edge, lighter in the middle look.

Those are a nice hazel color, and you're right--the dark outline looks really good. As for your natural color, I can't see it at all in those pictures.

Hi Noodle,

I do some theatrical work, so it really depends. If I am doing a black guy, the Tinters are better since they provide an even, dark color. If I am doing latino or italian characters, the blends are better - they are a little lighter and have more of a color depth to them.

Wow. You wear contact lenses for the theater. Would that benefit anyone in the audience beyond the first row?

Wow, so are you a Big Shot Celebrity in disguise? I can see where contacts would come in handy if you're getting ready for your closeup.
