Default Wrlens sent me the wrong lens... :(

Hi,

I ordered cristal-icemint from wrlens and it arrived within 10 days to the uk, which was great. I think they've sent me the wrong lens. I checked the bottle and it said ice, so I was assuming it was just ice mint and didn't expect them to make a mistake with all the great reviews and stuff.. so I opened them from excitement ugh

The lenses are nice but it wasn't what I paid for. I really hope they'll give me an exchange or refund or I'll try my luck with paypal, which I really dont want to. ._. I really wanted cristal.

I've sent them an email and its been 3 days so far. When I emailed them before about other issues (before I bought the lens) they replied like the next day..

anyways here is the picture, so if anyone can confirm for me that'll be great.

If anyone has had the same experience please let me know what happened in the end.

Sorry about the mix up. I tried the link for the picture but it didn't work. It would probably be better of you were to attach the picture.

If the seal is still intact on the vial (the little bottle), they may just take it back. Here's what the website says:

"At WrLens.com we guarantee that you will receive the exact type and brand of contact lenses specified in your order (with or without prescription). Each lens will arrive sealed in manufacturer's sterile vials. If at least one sterile vial in the shipment has been opened we will not be able to grant a return due to our insurance policy. At WrLens.com we guarantee that all contact lenses will be delivered free of any manufacturer defects and will be packaged and sealed in manufacturer's sterile vials. If no sterile vial in the shipment has been opened a return will be granted."

If you want to call them in Brazil, their number is 55-11-8209-8787; they are available Monday to Friday, 09:00 am - 4:00 pm Sao Paulo - Brazil time; Noon to 7 pm London time. Email them at info@wrlens.com

Hey,

I can't post images or links yet so can't attach image to post. Try this link. The one in my previous post had spaces between / / cause I couldnt post the url. I opened the lenses so the vial got ripped off like crazy as soon as it came.

Yeah, you have to have a certain number of posts in order to post pictures. I guess it's to prevent spam, but all the spam I've seen on this site is just nonsense text with no pictures. It sounds like this picture policy works more against new members than spammers.

I hope you get your order straightened out bizt105. Let us know if there's anything we can do.

Update:

I recieved an email today from them apologising and they said they'll be sending out the correct ones. They also said that I get to keep the NC Ice!

Now thats what you call great customer service. ^_^

Yeah. Everyone's flocking to see the contact lens section and they pass right by the sunglasses and the eyeglasses.

That's the thing with flocks, I guess. They tend to keep moving.

(This is my first post ever) I just wanted to say that I too ordered Icemint and just received the box today, hungrily opened it and saw it said "Natural Colors Cristal" on the box. I thought it was a mistake! So looked at the contents inside the box taking out the vials and saw they really were Natural Colors Cristal. I was so disappointed! I hope I get to keep mine and get a new Icemint like you did.

I haven't received my lens yet due to a month long processing delay but they finally got back to me after sending them 6-8 emails... customer service is definitely delayed. I'm sorry to hear about your experience with them. I hope they have improved some since then. :/

Did they tell you when you would be getting your contacts? I bet those people in customer service are very busy these days. Oh, and tell me again . . . whom did you email?

I had to wait a whole month before my lens were shipped to me. The tracking information they provided was not accurate at all. I was lucky to have been home when they came.

I spammed them with many emails before I got a reasonable response. Here are the two contact emails I used: info@wrlens.com & billing@wrlens.com

yea :\ I wrote them just waiting for a reply, I opened the box and the papers where wet and when i opened it one of the bottles was broken I'm so upset being waiting a month people need to handle packages better. idk what happened here theres glass everywhere

I feel your pain. I Also waited over a month for my hydrocharme ocres to find out there's a lens defect. Sent them back for inspection but they haven't gotten back to me with a resolution. Blah! Was the box all messed up when you received them or just the broken vial inside?

just the vail was broken and i found the dried up contact in it I can't believe this it's going to take forever for me to get another pair. Sorry to hear about the lens, and they still haven't sent you new ones?

Yah, that is the worst thing about ordering from out of the country. It takes forever to get through customs. And, if there's an issue, add another month or month And a half to that. Wrlens sent the lenses back to Solotica for inspection. Another month has passed lol I hope they resolve your issue asap.

Nah! Like I said to one of the forum peeps, it's the magic of makeup and pretty lens. I wish my eyes were a shade lighter. They're simply too dark. Im not commenting until I see your eyes. I'll let you know something funny though, when I wear green contacts, I look like a velociraptor from jurassic park. Haha

Your natural eye color is very pretty! Two toned. Green on the outer circle and hazel on the inside. I think I bought a pair of contacts that are suppose to mimic your naturals. Haven't tried em yet but will soon.

I'm not sure who replies to your emails but Olivia is really nice. The whole process will be lengthy, but it's nice to get some type of response. Initially after the whole defective lens speel, no one got back to me. So, I bombed theyre billing email with the same issue. 8.7 is the exact base curve for hydrocharme ice and ocre. I'm not positive about the other Solotica lines

My base curve is 8.4, and I don't know if I could still wear solotica's for 6 hours a day with my base curve :|

What do you guys think? Will I get a corneal ulcer?

Due to your broken vial with dried lens,
we will ship you a new one lens (tone number = 2) free of charge in order number S10088.
We will send you the trackign number a ssoon as we will ship it to you.

also whats the best cleaning solution to use with these?

Why do you ask? Do your Solotica contact lenses have a different base curve than 8.4?

Yeah, it says they're 8.7, so I don't know if wearing a different base curve would hurt my eye.

How did you get contact lenses with a base curve of 8.7 if your base curve is 8.4? That's too steep. Wearing contact lenses with the wrong base curve could possibly hurt your eyes. It's like wearing a pair of shoes that are too tight. They're uncomfortable and could possibly be harmful.
You probably should find some contact lenses in the right size. Try Lens.com. They'll actually ask you for your prescription and then verify it with your eye doctor. They don't want to sell you lenses that will hurt your eyes.

That's weird. Why would they sell contact lenses in only one base curve? At least Lens.com has a whole range of base curves and diameters on most lenses. Some only come on one base curve, but those are in the minority. You should give them a try now that your money has been refunded, clandestine.

Well it turned out that they were icemint, they told me "ice mint" was just a trial, but I found out they were initially the same thing, with hardly any differences. The only problem I have so far is that it slides around my eyes (yes they only have one basecurve), unlike the hidrocor type. But it looks really natural. More natural than the ice.

Woohoo! Glad to hear the good news MorbidBabe I use clear care to clean my lenses. I can actually see the solution in action (it's probably all in my head) but my eyes remain infection/irritation free! *thumbs up!

So I got an email from wrlens about shipping me a new "one" contact lense to replace my broken vial, but then I get another one a week later saying according to ups to got you lenses on the "16th" if this is correct enjoy your lenses I wrote back saying yes, BUT that's the one that had the broken one in it! I've been blowing up their email and still haven't gotten a response, I'm getting really irritated bc I already opened the other contact vail to see if I even liked them they look great on my eyes, but I have no idea when I 'm getting my other one if I'm even getting it at all!??
