I thank the last replier for answering my question. But i was just wondering if i have a prescription for clear contacts, but i want colored, can i enter the pin number of the prescription online and just order the colored contacts from there? Because i keep arguing with my optometrist about colored and im getting sick of it. If there is a way, please give me the link! thank you. :]

Let me repeat that a good on-line contact lens seller will call your doctor to make sure the prescription you gave them is correct. It's like when you're little and you tell your babysitter that having candy before dinner is okay. She says "Let me ask your Mom and make sure." It's good to double check. So no, you can't use a prescription for clear contact lenses to order colored. Sorry. You will have to either convince your doctor to give you a prescription for the colored contacts you want, or find a new doctor. Or you can just forget about wearing colored contacts, but what fun is that? I would recommend finding a new doctor. If you don't know how, try http://www.advocatehealth.com and try the "Quick Doctor Search." Put in "Ophthalmology - General" for "Specialty", then your zip code and insurance company and viola! you have a list of eye doctors in your area that will accept your insurance. Good luck. |

Why does your optometrist argue with you about colored contact lenses? Does he or she refuse to prescribe them for you? Did they say why?

Are there any "health reasons" why a person would e unable to wear colored contact lenses?

Yeah, I think I would to see another doctor, too.

You said it, Adric. It's usually a good idea to have a Plan B or even a Plan C.
