I've been torn between these two. I've had hidrocor ice in the past and found it to be very natural, I took a leap of faith and bought natural color esmeralda a few minutes ago, but I am hoping its completely natural just like the hidrocor. My other option would of been hidrocor verde or miel, any tips guys?

I don't wear Ice or Esmeralda, so I can't tell you which one I prefer. Maybe this will help. What is it you like about the Hidrocor Ice lenses? The intensity of the color? The way it covers your natural color? Maybe it blends nicely with your natural color instead. Figure out some objective things you like about the Ice lenses, and then see how the Esmeralda lenses compare. That way it's not just "the Hidrocor lenses are nice . . . but so are the Esmeralda! I'm so confused!" It's like when someone reviews a restaurant. They don't just taste the food to see if it's yummy. They have certain things that they ask of every dish they try. Was it served at the right temperature? Was it seasoned properly? Was the restaurant clean? That way if he goes to two restaurants and they both served hot, well-seasoned food, but restaurant A was cleaner, well then we have a winner. If you ask the same questions of both kinds of lenses, you'll have a more accurate picture of which ones you like better. Does that help, or do you feel like you asked me what time it was and I told you how to make a watch? ![]() |

That black ring is called a "limbal ring" and some people say that it really makes the color jump out. It doesn't exactly look "natural" but it does look cool.

How big are your irises? If you have smaller irises you may prefer the enlarging effect that you get with the Esmeraldas--you may not like the blunt pupil hole but it is pretty small so your natural color won't show as much as with ice |

wow those look really beautiful on you! does the black ring look fake up close and would it have been much naturaller if it was a darker blue?

I don't have the hidrocor or the natural colours, but I do have the hidrocharme, which has an even thicker limbal ring than natural colours, and they still look very natural, as you can probably see. I find that the ice can make you look a bit zombie like, because they are such a light lens.
I do have the hidrocor mel, and they look very natural, because they create such a subtle difference on my almost black brown eyes, making them look hazel. The esmeralda are a much nicer green than the verde (which looks a bit bold, and too vibrant to be natural in my opinion) but the pupil hole isn't as feathered (more so than quartzo though) as other solotica lenses. Still however, beautiful. Last edited by hopesvava; 04-22-2012 at 12:24 AM.. |
