Default Need help with choosing a pair of solotica lenses

Hi..I'm stuck in that sticky situation again where I don't know what colour lenses to go with. Basically I would like a lightish blue/grey coloured contact lenses as i already have the solotica hidrocor mels and hidrocor ocres and want a change.
My dream colour would be one that is similar to Aishwarya rai's eyes.. wishful thinking huh?

I purchased the solotica hidrocor ice and they were a total fail on my very dark (almost black) eyes.. made me look rather zombieish. I was considering either the hidrocor graphites or the natural color crystal icemints, i'm just afraid that the icemints will give me that zombie look i am so desperately trying to avoid..
Please help me!

ummmm solotic hidrocharme and natural are amazing. solotica natural looks very light and natural. u can go either for hidrocharme or natural .they wont give u that zombie look. one tone contact lenses always give that zombie look.

Wow, thanks for that picture. She's got very beautiful eyes.

I've heard some people on this site say that their contact lenses make them look like zombies, but I don't know what that means. Can you explain what you mean?

In the meantime, I found a good website that gives advice on which color contacts to try. Here's what they said: "Would you like to dramatically change your eye color? Acuvue 2 Colors Opaques or Freshlook Colors (Opaque) would do the job perfectly. They completely mask your real color, so even if you have dark eyes, you can change your color to blue or green."

You can find both of those brands here: http://www.lens.com/contact-lenses/department95.asp

Now is this a picture of Aishwarya Rai or you, 123chantz?

Hate to break it to ya, but on me (dark brown eyes) - solotica icemint (crystal) looked almost exactly like Mel. It's a little lighter, but for that reason it doesn't blend as well, and the mint color isn't compatible with brown as well as the pond green in Mel. There is a user on here called "Heidi" who has Hidrocor Verde Marine - now they are going to be my next pair. Look awesome on her!

Now what's so awful about your eyes? They can't be that bad, can they? So just be your own beautiful self--with colored contact lenses.
Don't worry about not looking like Courtney Cox. Not even Courtney Cox looks like that.

Hi guys thanks for the replying! I have decided against the cristal and graphite.. the cristal being too light against my skin tone and the graphite being not noticeable.
So im still looking for a new colour.. im thinking maybe the solotica natural color esmeralda, but im not too sure if they'll suit my skin colour again (yes i know.. im very indecisive!) I just really wanna try something far from brown!
I've included a pic of me just so that you can get an idea of a good colour for my skintone.. any suggestions?

Wow. You're so pretty 123chantz. When I scrolled down and saw your picture, I imagined my eyes bugging out of my head like a cartoon character:

That's such a great picture. Was it taken by a professional photographer?

Anyway, on a person with your darker skin and hair color, I usually suggest something that contrasts. Maybe something like grey or green. Check out the color contacts here: http://www.lens.com/contact-lenses/department95.asp

I think Juniorgerbil likes the picture.

I do too. Those contacts are gorgeous. I hope you will post another picture with your green lenses. Maybe for Junior's sake you should try to look more plain. We wouldn't want him to hurt himself.

I agree with Juniorgerbil. I think you would look even better with grey lenses. The contrast with your dark hair and skin tone would look striking. What do you think?

Thank you for posting that picture of Courtney Cox in her natural state. It's kind of refreshing, isn't it?

So have you bought any green contact lenses lately that we should know about?

Default New contacts

I opted for the freshlook color misty gray contacts and I am really happy with the results. Much cheaper than my solotica contacts but I am really satisified with these.. I think my search for the right contact lenses may be over.. for now Thanks for all your suggestions.

Hey, 123chantz. Congratulations on finding the FreshLook lenses. Hopefully you'll post a picture or two. I think you have to have a minimum number of posts, though.
