Default Clearly Colors Amber Ambition - pics

Because I love seeing pictures of everyone's lenses, so here's some of mine, maybe it'll encourage others to post more photos!

Just got these today, saw them in the packet and though 'WOW, they're bright ORANGE, I'm not sure about this!' but I love them on My mum says I look like an owl, I'm taking that as a compliment, heh..they've got a pretty big pupil hole so my eye does show through underneath, but it looks ok to me and at least it means that the colour's not blocking my vision. I've only been wearing them for about half an hour so far but they're very comfortable, haven't slid around at all so far (they say they've got 'gel edge technology' for comfort, whatever that means. Seems to be working whatever it is!) They were also pretty cheap considering they last 3-6 months.
Now I've tried and liked these ones, I'll probably give their violet or green ones a shot one day

Edit to add: A tip for anyone buying Clearly Colors lenses, this 'gel edge technology' thing seems to mean they're very delicate - I rubbed one of mine to clean it today and when I put it in it felt like it was cutting into my eye. I cleaned it again but got the same result so I threw it out and ordered some more..I will try to refrain from ever rubbing the new ones unless they actually become uncomfortable so I've got nothing to lose. Really annoyed about having to throw that one out when I'd only worn it a couple of times

Right, pictures. From top: One in one out, under a flash, natural light

It's nice to see your picture after seeing your name a few times, p01son1vy. The contacts look good. I think they look more bronze than orange. It suits you. If your mum says that you look like an owl, she must mean that you look like a very cute owl.

As far as that "Gel Edge Technology" (Trumpet fanfare.) I can't find any useful information about it other than that they "unleash your wild side." Dozens of websites use that exact phrase. When you've got the lens on your finger, do you notice the edge feeling squishy and gel-like?

Thanks And awww, that is the cutest owl I ever saw in my life!

I couldn't see or feel anything different about the lenses really, they felt pretty similar to my Freshlooks. But my freshlooks will occasionally drift over slightly in my right eye, and that hasn't happened at all with these so far, so I'm very impressed, can see myself wearing these a lot!

Yes, that's a cute owl--especially with the hat. I always thought that even adult owls were cute.

I'm glad you like your contact lenses, and that they stay put. Have you gotten any comments on them?

Those contacts are a nice color, p01son1vy, but I'm not sure about those dark "spokes" coming out from the middle. They kind of give the contact lenses away.

/\ I think being this colour they're always going to obviously be contacts, so subtlety's not really an issue for me, I like the black bits - I think the limbal ring on most less wacky contacts can be too smooth sometimes..

Haven't had any comments yet because I've not been out in them, but I'll probably wear them to college tomorrow so we shall see!

Cool. You'll have to let us know if any of your teachers or classmates says anything. Those lenses are pretty bright though. I'm sure someone will say something.

Well, if you like them I guess that's the most important thing, right? Or would you say that other people's opinions of your contacts are the most important thing?

/\ I really don't care much what other people think, they're my eyes so it only matters that I like them ..I don't think many people would wander around in the daytime in such freaky contacts, but freaky is good in my world
