Question Blue natural contacts for brown eyes with astigmatism.. :)

Hi!
I'm on the lookout for some nice blue colored contacts for astigmatism. I've tried the FreshLook ColorBlends Toric, but they didn't look natural enough for me.. People might argue with this though Also I tried the Solótica contacts everyone are talking about, and they were PERFECT! Prettiest colored contacts I have ever tried! Only problem is.. They're not for astigmatism, so for me they are very uncomfortable to wear and I can't see very clearly..
So my question is.. Are there any toric lenses that look somewhat like the Solótica contacts?
Also I have some problems with dry eyes, so anything that would dry out my eyes even more is probably not the best choice for me ..

Any help would be reeeally appreciated! And of course pictures are always very welcome!

Welcome to Lens 101 Neko4Christ. I like your screen name.

So you're from Sweden, are you? That's good. I only wish I knew how to greet you in Swedish. Maybe I'll ask that chef on the Muppet Show.

Thanks. Actually I'm from Norway. I'm just living in Sweden at the moment.
If you'd like to greet me in Swedish you could say; Välkommen!

Very well then. Välkommen!

Thanks for the question mamabear1.

Now for your question, Neko4Christ.

When someone asks "Are there any contact lenses that look like X brand contact lenses out there?" it's hard to answer because sure, I can show you some contacts that are the same color as X brand, but I don't think they will match the color exactly. There's more to contacts than color, too. Some people like lenses with a dark "limbal ring" around the edge, some like the little dots of complimentary color on the iris part. You know, stuff like that. I would recommend you click on the red rectangle up there that says "Lens.com" and go to their Color contact lens section. See if there's anything there you like.
You may also want to look at the Vial Contact Lenses section. Those might even be a better match.

Thank you so much for answering my question. As I was asking for contacts looking like the Solótica contacts, I was simply thinking about the way the color "blends" so perfectly with my natural eye color. Don't know if that makes any sense though.. The problem I'm having with using Lens.com is that there are no pictures there, and so I have no idea how the contacts look. It's a little bit difficult to choose colored contacts based on the description alone.

Hi Neko4Christ.

I went to Lens.com and looked at a few lenses. You're right. When you click on the name of a vial lens, there aren't any pictures, which seems odd. It also seems odd that most of the vial lenses have an notice next to the name that says "DISCONTINUED." What's happening to the vial contact lens industry?
However, if you try a different type of color contact lens, like Acuvue 2 Colours - Enhancers and the ever-popular FreshLook ColorBlends, you will see pictures.

You can also search Lens 101 for pictures of members modeling their contact lenses. That's a bit of a hit-and-miss though. Obviously if no one has chosen to post a picture of themselves wearing a particular brand, then you won't see that brand. It looks like Lens.com has to put more pictures on its site.

As EyeoftheTiger mentioned above, you can search here on Lens 101 for people wearing blue toric lenses. I found a picture of a young lady wearing FreshLook ColorBlends Toric. The pictures a little small, but you can see how blue here eyes are: http://www.lens101.com/color-contact-lenses/127-toric-color-contact-lenses-astigmatism.html

You'll have to scroll down to post #6 to see the picture.
