So I've been waiting for these for a couple of weeks and they're the most expensive lenses I've ever bought so I really had high hopes for them. They look like a vivid green on brown eyes, I love the thick limbal ring and I love the almost reflective shimmer that Soloticas seem to have.
However, I'm now wondering whether I've ever seen pictures of Soloticas on BLUE eyes because the difference is ENORMOUS. On me they're a bluey turquoise that I really don't like much at all. The lenses seem freakin' MASSIVE to me, at least as big as Freshlooks despite their claim of only being 14.2, so the limbal ring is on the white part of my eye and as a result barely shows up. As for that reflective shimmer, totally non existent - they just look like enhancers on my eyes, not opaques. Also the lenses are really thick and rigid and didn't seem that comfy for the 5 minutes I had them in. All in all a hugely expensive disappointment, I will NOT be buying Soloticas ever again! I am wondering though, on this and other boards I've seen a lot of talk about Soloticas changing recently and becoming less opaque with slightly different colours, which makes me wonder whether all the pictures I've seen of Verde lenses were BEFORE this change and now the lenses themselves just aren't as good. Either way, arghhhh!!! I honestly don't know whether I will EVER wear these lenses, possibly if I still had blonde hair they wouldn't look so bad, but with black hair I really don't like the colour. Looks like I'll be sticking with my freshlook Gemstone Greens - looking at the lenses togeher, the freshlooks are a much more yellow toned green and that seems to cancel out the blue of my eyes better. Just wish they had a decent limbal ring and then they'd be perfect :-/Pics: one in one out, no flash. Both in with flash - this shows the colour better, it really isn't REMOTELY green. I even checked the bottle to make sure they hadn't sent me Verde Marine by accident, but nope.. |

Have you had a look at the selection over at Lens.com? They've got FreshLook lenses as well as many others. Just click on the bright red banner and see if they have anything you like. |

/\ Yeah, they're gorgeous lenses on brown eyes, I just didn't realise they'd be so bloody hopeless on blue ones!
As a UKer I consider myself exempt from having to order off lens.com It would be timely, annoying and probably more expensive to order from America, so I'll stick to ordering direct from my optician when it comes to Freshlooks! |

As for ordering your contact lenses from Lens.com in the UK, you may be able to make an overseas order, but if I were in your shoes, I'd probably just buy them from the eye doctor down the street. |

to everyone, beware, i repeat, beware of wrlens.com. These ppl are so unprofessional, my dog could run their business better than them!!! They are rude, unprofessional, vulgar and try to bully you around. If you purchase lenses from them and receive a defective lens, they try to make out as though it's your fault. And yes, they request of you to try the defective lens on before replacing it, saying it's in their policy!!!! Who in their right mind would do this??? If you try resolve things with them, they get very nasty as though you've wronged them or try to act as though they do not comprehend things when u call!!! Then they claim to ensure defect-free lenses before shipping them out to you! Well, who's inspecting them, a blind dog!!!???? I don't know who wrlens.com think they are, i say run!!!!!! Run fast and do business elsewhere!!!!! |

You may be getting a point across, but it may not be the one you're intending to . . .

If your post is well-written, you only need to do it once. Shakespeare wrote "Brevity is the soul of wit," only one time.
