Exclamation Help finding right blue contact lens - for blonde

Hi, I am a blonde guy who would like to make my eyes more appealing. Right now they have a sort of boring greyish color, and I would like to have them some sort of blue, as I am blonde.

The problem is that i've tried several of these lower quality lenses without any good results - You could barely see a change in my eye color.

So far I've tried:
Freshlook Dimension - Pacific Blue
Focus Softcolors - Blue
Freshlook Colorblends - Blue

The changes from all of these were barely visible, and the freshlook has these dot's (dot matrix I think its called) which makes them look incredibly fake up close.

I have attached a picture of my real eyes and the sort of color I'm looking for, this is just an approximate though.

Can anyone of you please help me find the correct pair of lenses ?

Thank a lot,
James

Hello James. Welcome to Lens 101.

There's a lovely blonde lady here on Lens 101 who calls herself "misty_bee." She's got a few different blue contacts that she models on this forum. Maybe she can show you something that you like. In particular, take a look at the Acuvue 2 Colors Opaque in Sapphire Blue. I hope it's dark enough for you.

Thanks a bunch, going brighter is no problem tho! But aren't all freshlook/Acuvue dot matrix? (I think its called that, when you can clearly see small squares up close in the lens)

I don't know what manufacturers call it, but I've seen it called "dot matrix" on here a few times. How close do you have to get in order to see the little squares? Closer than a comfortable social distance?

I find it very easy to notice when looking into someones eyes. From social distance

So now that I know the difference between Opaques and Enhancers, do you think my eyes are too dark to use enhancers to get my wanted color?

Wow, you made me dig through the Internet trying to find you some nice dark blue lenses, and my search led me back here to Lens 101. There's a member here who calls herself "jellymelly14" and she has a thread where she models some Acuvue 2 Colors Opaque. The color is called "Deep Blue" and I hope it's what you're looking for. Here's where you can find those pictures:

Thanks a bunch! I'm just really afraid that the print will look really fake up close?

now I can't decide whether to get enhancers or Sapphire or Deep blue! Haha

Those pictures of Jellymelly14 in the other thread that Hottchick mentioned look pretty good close up. I don't think they look fake, anyway.

Looking at the pictures there, the two blue lenses look very similar, but if I had to pick just one, I think I'd go with Deep Blue. What do you think?

Most likely not as I live in Denmark. I'm actually having huge troubles finding a website that sells other brands than Freshlook, Expressions, Focus Softcolors, ColorNova, ColorMaker in Denmark.. Anyone know a site that can ship there for a reasonable price?

Good question, JamesTarp. If you haven't done so already, look for a contact lens site that has the Danish extension on it. I think it's .dk.

Have you been able to get some blue contact lenses that are to your liking, James?

I couldn't agree more--Solotica Azul is lovely but the pupil hole is a bit too big for brown eyes to get away with--but with a grey blue color it would just look like the natural pattern of blue eyes

I have topazios and love them, in grey eyes they would probably be more of a baby blue than the sea green/turquoise I get in my brown eyes

Also they make the Topazios in a 30 day plano version now-which is a nice option

I have med warm brown eyes and the topazios look quite blue. The ice shade I found more natural looking as it looks grayish blue on me.

I think the original post would look awesome in the blue lenses mentioned because it can blend with his eye color to get the final blue that he wanted.

What you want looks a bit like what I have just purchased. Freshlook colour blends Sapphire Blue.

I don't think they are very natural looking though, but it does look a bit like what your after.
