Question any lenses that are just flecks/freckles of color?
Does anybody know of colored contacts that are just flecks and not the almost solid circle? Like adding colored freckles to your eyes, rather than trying to change the color entirely?

Another thing that would be cool would be something that would add just a highlight to solid color eyes to make them more like this:

I don't know of any contact lenses that are "flecks" of color, but check out Acuvue 2 Colours - Enhancers. They have a subtle tint that doesn't overpower your natural eye color, but blends with it. They come in Ocean Blue, Emerald Green and Aquamarine.

That says they're for light eyes. Mine are medium dark green/brown, so they probably wouldn't work for me. But thanks for the suggestion.

Hmmm . . . I don't know of any contact lenses like that. It seems to me that most contact lenses have at least 50% color pattern. The only other option I can think of would be contact lenses that have a locator tint, but that coloring would be too faint, wouldn't it?

You would probably like Acuvue 2 Colours - Enhancers contact lenses. They're not a "solid circle," but they let some of your natural color show through. They have a nice Emerald Green that you might like. You can find more information here: http://www.lens.com/contact-lenses/lens388.asp

Try the Adore Bi-Tones. They come in Aqua, blue, green, yellow, grey, hazel, and honey. They just enhance your eye color. Check them out at Lensmarketplace.com

I don't think those lenses are available in the US, you would have to order them online, providing the power and BC lines up you should be fine

I've got a question about these lenses. Would my American doctor give me a prescription for imported contact lenses? If he won't, will I then be prevented from ordering the imported contact lenses?

No an American doctor can not give you a prescription for imported lenses but the websites that sell them do not demand a prescription. You should still buy lenses that match your prescription for other lenses though-make sure the power and base curve match up.

I don't know about ANY but definitely MOST
Just be responsible and make sure that you are buying a contact lense that matches your prescription and BC, and never ever buy a contact with a smaller BC than what you were prescribed, that can be dangerous

Actually I don't believe that any American websites sell imported lens such as Solotica, Waicon, or Magic Top. These are top of the line colored contacts from South America and those countries do not require a prescription to purchase. The same goes for Asian circle lenses. Even though Acuvue makes circle lenses (Define) for some reason they cannot be purchased in America.

You're right about those South America lenses. I don't know of any way to buy them from an American website.
I looked up Acuvue Define lenses, and I found them on a site that had ".com" on the end of it, rather than ".br" for Brazil, and the price was listed in dollars. I didn't actually order any Define lenses because I don't have a prescription, but I bet someone else in the States could do it.

Acuvue Define is sold in Asian countries actually, I bought mine at contactlensxchange.com because I couldnt find them on any american sites--shipping took quite awhile too

I think it was worth it because circle lenses are not available in the US--and Acuvue Defines are the only daily disposable circle lenses out there as far as I know

My irises are kind of small, so the enlargement makes a difference on me and makes my eyes look larger and more almond shaped--it's not something that leaps out at people--people that know me can tell something is different but they can't quite put their finger on it

The Acuvue Defines don't enlarge as much as many of those Korean lenses out there, which I like because I'm going for a subtle look, I'm not trying to emulate an anime character lol

Just realized I didn't explain this, circle lenses are contact lenses that enlarge your iris. They're extremely popular in a lot of Asian countries but they haven't really taken off in the US yet. Acuvue Defines are a daily disposable circle lens that are mostly clear but have a thick black (or brown) limbal ring around the outside to enhance the size of your iris. Except for this black ring they are the same as Acuvue Moist 1 day disposables that are available in the US

Well, that's cool. Me, myself, I don't think I'd have the patience to wait for my contact lenses to be shipped to me from another country. Were they expensive, too? I learned a long time ago that there are many things I just can't afford, no matter how much I may like them.

Like this beauty. It could be mine, for only three hundred dollars--plus shipping.

Not going to happen.

They're around 35 bucks for a box of 30 lenses--shipping is usually between 5-10 bucks--shipping was about 2 weeks, not cheap by any means but doable-At that price I don't wear them everyday though-I switch between those and my regular Acuvues (and now my brand new Solotica Topazios)
If Acuvue brought these to the US the price would probably come down a lot

So if you don't mind my asking, how much does it cost for you to have all those different contact lenses? It looks like you wear Acuvue Defines, "regular Acuvues" and Solotica Topazios. Is that right?

Yeah--the Soloticas were a gift but they generally run 80-100 bucks a pair and they're annuals
Acuvue Moist 1 Day Disposables are around 50-60 bucks for a pack of 90
Acuvue Define is about 35 bucks for a pack of 30

So as long as I don't wear the Defines every single day it's not too bad

So you're talking about 80 bucks a month total for he 1 Day lenses and the Define, plus . . . we'll say $90 a year for the Soloticas? Is that right? Can you narrow it down to one brand? Maybe keep getting those Soloticas as a gift?

I would but I don't want blue eyes that the Solotica Topazios give me ALL the time it's more of a sometimes thing--and I love the fresh eye feeling of the dailies!

That's what's nice about colored contact lenses. You can easily change things up.
