You're really not supposed to buy contact lenses without a valid prescription. Hopefully the contact lens company will call your doctor and he or she will say that it's okay for you to wear that same prescription for your colored contacts. Sometimes the different materials that lenses are made of feel different, even if the prescription is the same. That's one of the reasons you need a prescription for any contact lenses you order.

Well, my prescription is valid. Had my eyes check and ordered clear lens... They gave me the prescription numbers so that if I wanted to save money and order online I could. So I am wondering how could it possibly be different if they are colored or clear.

Is there a brand name on your prescription? If not, you may be able to get colored contact lenses, but most of the time eye doctors will prescribe a brand as well as a base curve and diameter. If your eye doc specified a brand of clear lenses, then they will have to call your doctor before they send you the colored ones. It's kind of a pain but like they say, it's for your own protection.
