Default Solotica NC Ice & Cristal review

So I've been reading soo many reviews online before actually purchasing a pair of Solotica's. I've wanted the NC Ice lenses for so long, but for some reason I decided to go with the NC Cristal last minute because I read somewhere that they were lighter than the Ice and were blue in color, not green. I order the Cristal's about a month or so ago and as it turns out they aren't blue at all, they actually turned out to be a light green. But I actually was pleasantly surprised. For having medium-brown eyes, the light green really impressed me. I was very happy with them and wear them everyday. They look natural and everyone compliments them. Maybe a week after getting the Cristal lenses I decided that I loved them so much that I would just buy a pair of the Ice ones too, since they must be even more amazing (I've always wanted light blue eyes). Well I got my Natural Colors Ice lenses in today and just put them in and honestly, I'm really disappointed. I thought they'd be completely different than the Crystals, so I left one of the Crystal lenses in and put one of the Ice lenses in and I honestly couldn't see a difference. It was as if the Ice lenses weren't even a little bit blue. I had read somewhere that Solotica wasn't making their lenses quite as bold and vibrant anymore, and so people were complaining, but I thought for sure after seeing the great results from the Crystal lenses that the Ice would also be amazing. So disappointed :/

Sorry about that, Jessica. What are you going to do now?

I guess just keep wearing them? haha, I'll just have to try some other lenses to get blue eyes. Maybe I'll try the Hidrocharme ones.

Were any of those reviews here on Lens 101? There aren't many mentions of them here, but I hope this forum has been helpful to you.

Yeah, some of the reviews were here and then some were on other random sites. It's been helpful though.

Same EXACT things happened to me. I bought the ICE because I am going for light blue eyes (I have dark brown, not black). I got the Hidrocharme Ice and they have no color at all. They are like grey eyes. I mean, I like Solotica because no one knows they are contacts. But I get "something looks different on you. Are you tired?". They are very bland.

I want to try Azul for my search and Topazio as I have heard Quartzo (one of the few that are the color I want) look too unnatural. I might try the Topazio first since I can get them as a monthly pair which is much cheaper to TRY.

But after looking online it is near impossible to get a solid review. Troy seems to be the most accurate and he doesn't come here anymore. The Azul look nice and light in some reviews and dark in others. I would just get the Topazio, but they don't have a feathered pupil hole like the Ice, Azul and others. That is why I think the Ice look so natural, because of that pupil hold. It blends ridiculously well with you natural eye.

I wish they would make one the same style as the ICE but just light blue/green or a mix of colors like the Quartzo/Topazio.

Ugh... my head hurts from searching so much!! ;(

Wow. That's not exactly the reaction you were looking for, was it?

Harriet Jones: You're the most remarkable man I've ever met. But I don't think you're quite capable of that.

The Doctor: No, you're right. Not a single word. [pause] Just six.

Harriet Jones: I don't think so.

The Doctor: Six words.

Harriet Jones: Stop it!

The Doctor: Six. [approaches Alex, whispering in his ear] Don't you think she looks tired?

Do you think you would be able to attach images of the cristal and ice on this thread? I just can't seem to find cristal reviews or good pictures, especially on dark eyes!

I can try to. I'll have to wait for my new iPhone to come in (my other one broke), which will be in a couple days. Hopefully the quality will be good enough to give a good example. Also, for the record, when I first wrote this review I only saw the Ice lenses in my bathroom lighting, not natural lighting. When I looked at the two different colored lenses in natural, outdoor lighting I could see a difference. The blue and green are obviously different colors, but the ice still isn't as vibrant as I was expecting. I just bought some Hidrocor Ice lenses since they're the most opaque. Hopefully they're more impressive.

Well, we'll be looking for some "impressive" pictures from you, JessicaJeterxoxo. I hope that iPhone takes good pictures.

You probably shouldn't do that "thumbs up" thing though. Just smile pretty.

Are they a striking green color? I want something nice and bright. Also where did you order them from? Thank you.

Yup. Six words.
