Hello all,
I hate having to post a complaint, but I am at my wit's end, and don't know where else to vent. I ordered a pair of Solotica Hidrocor Grafite lenses about two weeks ago from Paranalentes.com, due to their low prices and fast shipping. The order processed quickly, the tracking was accurate, and my package was delivered in a week. So far, no problems. I was impressed by the quick delivery time, and I just knew I was certainly going to order from them again...until I tried the lenses on. The left lens was perfectly firm, just like all the other Soloticas I have ordered...but when I went to put in the right one, it was thin and floppy, almost like the Freshlooks I used to wear. Not good. ![]() I put the lens on, and it slid around on my eye, blurring my vision with every blink, and every time I'd move my eyes, the left lens stayed on my iris perfectly, but the right one would hesitate and slowly slide into place, giving me this awful cross-eyed look. I immediately emailed the Paranalentes.com, asking for advice on what to do, since this obviously was a problem on their end, and I have heard nothing. I emailed them a total of three times, and have gotten no reply. I like the colour and style of the lenses, but I want to replace the thin lens with a thicker one that I don't have to wear inside out ![]() Has anyone else had a bad experience with this seller? A good one? Thanks for your time...I will keep y'all updated if things change. I'm hoping they'll do the right thing and send a replacement...or at least, respond to my mailings. Yes BoSoxFan, they are those world-famous Brazilian lenses everybody is talking about.
The one bad lens is just enough to tick me off...they were so close to having a lifetime customer, but they blew it by not only messing up my order, but not even bothering to answer my emails. If they made an effort to fix the problem,(or even tell me they can't help me) I could forgive them, but not even communicating is inexcusable. I emailed them for the fourth time today...and guess what? No reply. Sheesh. I'm never going to order from them again. |

I'm tempted to take this opportunity to pitch Lens.com as the sponsor of the forum we're communicating in, but they don't have any Brazilian lenses. Still, I don't suppose it would hurt to at least look at the website. Maybe it will take your mind off things. |

Thanks ForceBwitu (I love that screen name, by the way). I might go have a look this evening.
Some good news, though...I filed a claim with Paypal this morning, and my money was immediately returned. I'm still not really happy the way the earlier communication went, (having to wait nearly a week for the reply "Your lenses have already been delivered." what?!?!) but at least they acknowledged the fact that they screwed up and made it right. Now I can sleep better tonight ![]() |

I'm glad that you got your refund from paypal, but yes I had a bad experience with paranalentes too. I had actually ordered a few times from them with no problems, well one of the lenses was dry like the one you received but I just dealt with it. The last time I ordered 2 pairs of lenses and I never received them. I think they were stuck in customs, maybe it wasnt there fault but it wasn't mine either and when I sent them a few email they never responded. It would have been nice to see that they care a little. I ended up filing a claim with paypal. Guess what? Then they finally responded telling me to drop my claim. I finally got my refund from paypal a month after I ordered. I won't buy from them again, the prices are good but not worth the hassel.
