$450!! Wow! Are you a contact lens veteran? Have you ever worn lenses for a year? I'd be very reluctant to put out that kind dough until I knew I could take care of those lenses and make them last at least a year.
They sound very nice but, wow.

I think they are worth it--but take advantage of the fact that they are custom---go to an optometrist so you can get the specs perfect--their standard pupil hole is 5mm but most people get at least 4mm, some go as small as 3mm but you optometrist can advise you if that is a good idea for you or if you will have tunnel vision

If you find a video of someone with Fxeyes that you like, ask them if they had them toned up or down--most people with darker complexions get them toned down to at least 7/10 so it doesn't look garish

Personally, I prefer Adriana, as Jade can appear kind of flat

Foxx is a nice color as well--I think it's a better green than the Jade

I did get my eyes measured, and im thinking of getting it toned down to a 6, i emailed them and they told me that they are making a new colour that is a blueish gray..but i cant wait that long! I like adriana too , but every video is a different colour, its so hard to actually figure out what colour it is, i like jade because it seems liek a grayish green..and foxx, as again some customers that bought it, it looks so good, and some sold it because they said it was too green,. its just so complicated to actually figure out the colour.. i really liked icy green too but then again i dont know how it actually looks like.. im just waiting to figure out what colour i should get, so confusing!

the great thing about fxeyes is that they will tweak the color for you for free--so besides the waiting you don't have to worry too much about it not being completely perfect

Okay, I was being silly. I tried to look at those "in depth reviews" on Lensaholics, but I couldn't find the page. The only thing that came up was a page that tried to sell me a Black & Decker SPACEMAKER™ Under-the-Cabinet Thermal Coffee Maker.

It makes coffee AND space, apparently.

lol you have to make an account first, then look under the 'hand painted contacts'

I have to warn you though, the name is fitting--those people are a little nuts about their contacts!

So before I can get any information about those Fxeyes at Lensaholics if I have to create an account just to look at the website? Why are they hiding them?

It's a forum....like lens101
you have to create an account for lens101, why wouldn't you need to do the same for a different forum?

They don't sell Fxeyes there....they're not affiliated with any retailer at all

I can't remember the days before I had an account here. Can you just read the posts if you don't have an account? I know you can't write anything, but can you read everything? If not, it's a stupid way to get people to want to join the forum. Not very welcoming, is it?

Here are some pics to tide you over

These are 2 people with the Adriannas from Fxeyes---on the girl they look greener, on the boy they look bluer--so I guess you result depends on your instructions to Fxeyes--I'm more partial to the bluer version myself

Here are Fxeyes Icy Green on the same girl--I think they're beautiful

The combination of the contacts and the hair color makes her look like a different person!

That's a nice look. The mascara kind of makes the color "pop" as well.

I think the Icy Green would be very hard to spot as contacts---unless you're like 2 inches from someone's eye lol

The Adrianna is nice, but I'm not sure if it justifies the high price tag as much as the Icy Greens do

They both look like a nice grey-blue to me. Are those custom made contact lenses?

Yes--well you specify the color you want, such as Icy Green or Adrianna
And then the size of the contacts, the pupil hole, and any tweaks you want done to the color is custom
Like if you want them darkened or lightened, more blue tones or green tones, etc.

Yeah the guy's doesn't look like Adrianas really, but idk how he had them tweaked, that may have been the look he was going for

Did you ever get approved on Lensaholics?

I got banned because I said I heard Jennifer Aniston wears contacts----I told you they're crazy over there LOL

They won't ban you from Lens 101 for saying that you heard Jennifer Anniston wears contact lenses. Maybe the other site is afraid of getting sued.

I've read some pretty offensive posts here, but very few of those posters, if any, have been banned. I don't know if being a member here gets you customized contacts, but at least we treat you well.

Stick with us, sylvia. We're the ones who really love you.

lol well Lensaholics may have more pictures of custom lenses, but the trade-off is that some of the members take the whole thing more than a little too seriously!

But I guess that's to be expected from people who spend many thousands of dollars on colored contacts---not a very mentally stable thing to do!

I agree. I thought forty bucks for one Softcon EW lens was a lot of money.

Do some customized lenses really cost thousands of dollars?

well they range from 500 to well over a thousand

I don't think buying 1 pair of customs makes you a maniac---but buying 20 pairs, along with a few hundred other pairs of colored contacts---MIGHT be sign of some sort of addiction

Yeah, I think some intervention might be necessary if someone were to buy all those contact lenses.

Yes, some of those people on the lensaholics site are a bit unstable - they have ten thousand pairs of lenses, take a million pics, but hate all of them...

I do like all the pics though

As for the customs, if you find a pair you love on someone else, send the pic or video to FXeyes along with your order and they will try their best to copy it down to every fleck. I find that the more direction people give, the happier they are with the results. I think Foxx and Jazmine are my faves but Adriana is gorgeous too.

The contact lens company we are discussing, FXeyes, charges $450 per pair.
Quite a bundle! They do last a year with daily wear though..... Perhaps one day I will give myself a great birthday present

If you break it down, it's about a dollar a day. $1.23 in fact, give or take a fraction of a penny.
