Thread: Beware of fxeyes!

    Default Beware of fxeyes!

After viewing an honest review on YouTube of FXeyes, I've decided to try to get the word out about my bad experience with FXeyes as well.

    1. They are a MONEY hungry company. They keep raising their prices, when the quality gets worse. They over-charge for shipping, and pocket the difference.

    2. The quality of the lenses aren't as great as they are said to be, or should be, since you're spending $500+ on these things.

    3. Customer service is the worst I've ever seen.

I ordered my lenses, expecting them to ship by 8-9 weeks as the site says. I would have been fine with 9 weeks, even. Nope! Took 11 whole weeks. That's over two months. Supposedly there was a delay in the 8th week, and coincidentally, the day I emailed was the day that the material they needed was received. At that point, they were about 6 weeks behind, for they should have received that material within two weeks. (The YouTuber also noted that the day she emailed them about her problem, supposedly, coincidentally, the same thing happened.) I figured, fine. Well, by the 9th week, I called on a Monday. I wanted to know when my lenses would ship. Stacy said by Friday, so I thought, "Okay, Friday." Come Friday, NOTHING. I emailed at around 12 PM, and no response. Monday of the 10th week, I called again, this time understandably upset. Apparently she said Friday because the artist said Friday, but all of the sudden he's back up with orders and they would ship that week.
Nope. I was incredibly upset, I called the third time, threatened to expose them, and said that if they didn't ship by that day, I wanted a refund. As Stacy said, "Sorry ma'am, you knew from the beginning that we don't give refunds." Fine, understandable. But what UPSETS me the most is that they know you've paid already, they know you can't do anything about it. You can call, but it won't rush those damn lazy people.
I finally received them the 12th week, and at this point, I was upset that the owner has pocketed all of my money, and what I got was terrible service, and poor quality lens artwork. I didn't expect anything more at that point, coming from that company.
I sold my lenses to a cousin since the artwork was so mediocre, nothing special to them. No starburst, no variation of colors, just fake looking. I had no use for them anyways. I just wish I would have known before. To be honest, there aren't many reviews about this site. Maybe two, three at best. I've noticed quite a few people have had bad experiences with them.
I'm not telling anyone that FXeyes is a fake company, or anything, but they are the most difficult company I've ever dealt with. Most importantly, in the end, it wasn't even worth it. I can't believe I shelled out so much money on those. Also, I'm not telling anyone not to order from them. But, do keep my honest review in mind, because I'm not the only person to have had this problem with them.

do you have a pic of the lenses so we can see what is wrong with them?

And you always have the option of contesting charges on your cc

Thank you for sharing your experience with us, Valhalla. I wish your story had a happy ending, though. What do you plan to do next? Are you done with colored contact lenses?

Thanks for sharing your experience and so sorry to hear what happened, I've recently got my lenses from fxeyes but haven't experienced anything like that at all. Stacy replied to all my emails in the same day, they finished my contacts in 8 weeks, they said they'd post them on a Friday later they contacted me and said it was delayed to Monday and they apologized for that. Everything went so smoothly I thought the customer service was brilliant. I think you were unlucky that something went wrong while processing your order (or maybe I was lucky?). I'd also be very frustrated if that happened to me.

I know some people have had problems with them but I think it could happen with any company, and I believe the majority is happy with their service still. Also I think 500$ is ok for hand painted lenses as the other brands are way more expensive than fxeyes. Just my honest opinion... What colour was yours btw? Was it not like how it's shown on their videos? They could of repainted them but I think it's too late for that now...

Wow, that's too bad. I hope you're able to get those lenses you want somewhere.
