Skippy...

Welcome to Lens101.. your pictures look great... keep posting them...

I have been editing your pics - here is a quick way to upload images directly to our image server.
====================================
When adding an image to your post please upload the image as an attachment and then adding the attachment into the body.

Here are the steps:

1) in the message window there is a paper clip image, click on it and either upload the image from your PC or enter the url of where the image is located. click upload and then close the window.

2) click the paper clip image again and you will see the file name of the image you just uploaded,. click it and you are done...

In your edit message window you should see some thing like where xyz = number of the attachment. once you click post you will see the image within your post.

It is important to upload your pictures and not include an url of the image as over time url's can change or the source of the image may change. If uploaded we will always be able to display the image.
====================================

I hope this helps...

Skippy -

After you upload an images you can include them in the message of your post by clicking insert attachments after clicking the paper clip image. If you do not include the attachments in your post then you will get the clickable links. If you want to remove the image from the body and the clickable link you need to clicking the paper clip image and then click on manage attachments and remove them as needed.

your pictures look great... keep posting them...

Default Amber Eyes

The blue looks really great on you! Has any one seen a light amber or light honey color for brown eyes? I wear a lot of those earthy colors and would like the lighter eye color to match.

Default flash

do you have any pictures of your eyes with the light blue in regular lighting? the flash from your camera is going to make them appear a lot lighter than they would during normal daily wear lighting.

Wow. From "stunning" to "creepy" in two posts. I don't think I've ever seen such differing opinions back-to-back. Who are you going to believe, eltonlani?

The lenses are definitely blue! However, if one is looking for a more 'natural' lens this would not be the lens to purchase. But, if you just want something bright and exciting to perhaps where out clubbing or something....these would be perfect!

Is there a more natural blue lens you might recommend to Eltonlani and Lens 101 members everywhere?

IMO Solotica Cristal or Waicon Trikolor Blue. However, those can't be purchased on lens.com and it seems it is usually preferred when suggesting lenses. However, some people aren't looking for a 'natural' look and I do realize that too! Hence, violet lenses!!

Would these look more natural on blue eyes that need to be lighter??? or do they have a really pixelated look to it? I might need something with more transparent pixels and less pigment to show blue underneath.

any ideas?

Well, if they can't be purchased on Lens.com, then what good are they?

Seriously, when a brand isn't available on Lens.com, that usually means they're not made in the US. Those Solotica and Waicon lenses are from Brazil aren't they? Will American buyers have to pay some kind of custom or import tax above the price of the lenses?

I bet they will, Uhura. They will probably have to convert their currency, too. Can anyone confirm or deny?

I can! There are no customs or import taxes when purchasing lenses from Brazil. In fact, there are no taxes at all. You simply pay the cost of the lenses plus a modest shipping fee. For example, my Solotica Natural Colors were $100 plus $10 shipping. Most of the websites selling these lenses have a currency converter right on the page showing the item. You just click on "US Dollars" and voila - you have the price of your lenses. Nice and simple for those of us impacted when the Great Plague of '11 wiped out all our beloved colored vial lenses.

So when you went to the site it said, say 120 reais (Thank you, Wikipedia) and then you clicked on it and it changed to 100 dollars?

I suppose anyone who sells stuff on line must be prepared to sell it to Americans. We like to do things our way. Metric system? We don't need no stink-ing metric system! How many inches is that?

Not just Americans - the site I purchased from offers conversions to several other currencies. In fact, despite being in Brazil, the default currency on the site is the Euro, not the Real. There are some other sites selling Soloticas that list the price in reals, and for some reason, it seems the ones with the best prices don't offer conversions on their site, nor do they offer an English version of the site. Of course, you can convert and translate via other sites, but not everyone is willing to take those extra steps. It would all be so much simpler if an American company would get FDA approval to start selling these lenses or something comparable. I did read that Bausch and Lomb bought Waicon (their colored lenses are said to be comparable to Soloticas) so perhaps one day soon, we'll have more colored lens options at lens.com.

Honestly it sucks that these lenses were discontinued since the American market is pretty sparse but I don't really like them. Sure they offered a dramatic change, but the results were a little too harsh or garish for my taste. I guess it's good if you're not going for the natural look...they're still a pretty color... but eh they don't do it for me

Thanks for your unbiased review, sylvia. Have you given up on American contact lenses?

If there were colored lenses on the American market that came in my prescription (besides Acuvue Opaques which are terrible) I would try them

I wanted to try FreshLook ColorBlends for years, but they don't come in my prescription-that is what drove me to check out other lenses like Solotica and Waicon

Here's hoping you find contact lens happiness--wherever your lenses come from.

Hello beautiful eyes. I did the same. Now they are no longer produced or can you buy it somewhere else? Or you have a suggestion what I could buy instead of Elegance light blue?

I loved the look of elegance and natural touch lens.notice the past tense. These are not available no longer.

Solotica opaque lenses come close to the effect and much more natural looking.

I really liked the elegance/natural touch effect but the lenses themselves were low water content soft lenses that weren't all that comfortable.

Thank you for the fast answer. What you mean for the color there has many blue, marine, ice or azul.
