How many of you are seeking colored contact lenses in order to make your eyes look brown? Does anybody like brown eyes?

It's been a few months, Lucky Witch. Have you gotten your brown contacts yet?

You do wear regular contacts, don't you? Most companies that sell color contacts also sell the clear ones, so you're probably not putting anyone out of work. ![]() |

Yes, I wear the normal ones. And I probably stretch each one a teensy weensy bit further than I should, so rest assured, I'm still doing my part to cheat the contact community out of profits. Huzzah.

Here's come links to forum with pictures of brown over black in Acuvue and Freshlooks. Hands down Acuvue looks WAY more natural. The freshlooks have that creepy yellow ring aroudn the eye. Compare those to a real light brown eye- Acuvue looks very natural. I dont understand why people continue to wear Freshlooks colorblends...they always look like their popping out of your eye with fake color.

I guess I'm lucky, because I wear freshlook cb brown over blue/green and they look totally natural. Maybe because I have a few spots of light brown around the pupils so that the blue/green does not show through.

LOL. You mean the blue doesn't show through, or the brown doesn't show up? Nobody has ever guessed that I wore brown contact, and even my own mother had forgotton that I was born with blue eyes. When she saw me without my contacts on the other day, she commented that I looked "spooky" with my weird blue contacts, lol.

Have you thought about going into advertising? You can use the slogan "Contact Lenses That Will Fool Your Own Mother." ![]() Last edited by Sox05; 12-09-2009 at 12:50 PM.. |

Do you think you can post some more picture with a clearer look at your eyes? I want to see what kind of pattern the contact lenses have.

Wow that was fast. In that picture I can't tell you're wearing contacts at all.

Thanks. I am so ashamed of my natural eye color, that I don't tell anyone I am wearing contacts. But, when I wear a different color, like blue or green, which show up dark blue and dark green on my eyes, people think my eyes are brown underneath the contacts, and freshlook colorblends, because of their coloring (dark ring on the outside and goldish ring around the pupil) makes people think that.

I hope you realize someday that you don't have to be ashamed of your natural eyes. You may never love them, and that's okay. I just don't like the idea of one of my friends on Lens 101 being ashamed of something that's natural, okay? Go ahead and wear your brown lenses, and enjoy them, but please don't be ashamed of anything that is a natural part of you. Take care. |

Thanss. Actually, now that my summer tan is gone for the year, my natural color doesn't look so harsh against my skin. I have also been experimenting with different makeups, and if I use light eye shadow and eyeliner, then my eyes look darker in comparison, and it doesn't look so bad anymore. Also, since I have tried colorblends blue, green, hazel and honey, I am liking the color varieties and have found a way to make my natural color look more mellow. Here is a picture of my natural eyes with makeup, and it doesn't look so bad anymore. the top picture is my natural eyes with makeup. Also, in darker light, they don't look so scary. I guess you can say I am no longer ashamed of my natural color.

I'm glad you like my idea. I'm also glad you posted some clearer pictures, ziggy
