Default Where are the Pictures?

Hi.

I've been surfing this web site for some ideas about color contacts. It would be very helpful to me if I could see some pictures of people wearing color contact lenses. Maybe some people could post pictures of themselves with their natural eye color, and then with several different color contacts. Are there any readers of this page that has a bunch of different colors to model for us? Thanks.

Wow! Those look great!
I was about to say "you've got very pretty eyes," but them I remembered what site I was on and why!
I did notice that in the "Venus Blue" contacts, there was a little bit of brown showing through the pupil, but the rest look really good. As I said before, they look very natural.
Thank you for posting those pictures here. I hope they help people find the color contacts they're looking for.

Wow, thanks MsMarkito, those look really nice on you. Thank you for posting such large pictures.
The only thing that disappoints me is again the large pupil opening. Other than that they look great. Both of those colors look good on you. Do you still wear those contacts? Do you prefer the grey or the aqua ones? Do you have any new pictures?

Thanks again.

Thanks for posting such ginormous pictures. You're not afraid of people getting a close look, are you?

Andria, what lenses are you using? Is the lens you are using for 3 month? Do you sleep with the lenses? Did you go to your optician? may be the lens has parameters that doesnt fit to your eye...Not all of us we have the same eyes... think that eyes are like shoes....not all of us we have the same number :-) mine is too big (41) aiaiaiai

I hope you haven't been wearing the same pair of contacts for three months. Unless they're vial contacts, they shouldn't be worn this long.
I'm not an eye doctor, but if your vision isn't affected, this doesn't sound very serious to me. I'd give it until tomorrow, and it your symptoms don't improve, call your eye doctor and tell him or her. Maybe you can try some eye drops, if you have any.

Check back with us so we can know that you're all right, okay?

The top center picture is really nice. That's about the only picture where her dark eyes don't show through the pupil opening of the contact lenses. The freckles look nice too. Being a teenager, I suppose she hates them.

Enough about her. Let's talk about you, MsMarkito. Are those contact lenses comfortable for you? Your eyes don't look red or watery, so I guess they're okay. Was the price right?

Waddayamean, people don't care about blue eyes? It's not for nothing that I call myself "babyblues." I bet blue contacts outsell brown ones at least three to one.

I have taken some pictures of a few of the lenses that I own. These are the most recent ones that I have purchased. You can go to "My Colored Contact Lens Review" post to read my descriptions. As I looked through the pictures I realized how fake they all look. However I do wear the Expressions gray everyday and if you are not so close up they do not look so fake. I love the Solotica lenses but as I mentioned I have not found the right color for me. However I have my finger crossed on the 2 pair I'm waiting on. The pictures are in the following order:

Expressions Gray
Expressions Jade Green
Expressions Blue Topaz
Soflens Amazon Green
Solotica NC Quartzo
Solotica Hidrocharme Mel
Natural Eye Color

UPDATE: I received my Solotica Cristal lenses and my Solotica Hidrocor Graphite lenses. The Cristal lenses are a very light mint green color and is way too light for me. The color washes me out and is not flattering at all. The Graphite lenses are suppose to be gray but they actually are very very blue on me (not a chance of gray at all). They remind me of Durasoft lenses and the single tone color doesn't appeal to me. I just ordered the Natural Color Graphite lenses thinking that the dark ring will look better and although I have not received them I should not have placed the order because I am almost 99% sure that they are not going to work for me. After purchasing 5 pair of Solotica lenses and not finding a color that I like, I have decided that Solotica is a lot of hype. They have not made a color that I am impressed with. I think you can find the same thing here in the states. After spending almost $700.00 on Solotica lenses in my quest to find a more natural lens than my Expression Gray lenses, I have decided I should give it one last try. I just ordered the Waicon Trikolor Gray lenses. This will be my last attempt to finding the perfect natural looking lens for me. If this does not work I will live with my Expressions lenses and be content for the moment. I will update everyone once my Grafites and Trikolors come in.

Expressions Green on brown eyes... the golden ring around the pupil is the most noticeable on dark eyes IMO.

Talking Pictures!!!!!

Hello, just thought I would post what I think are the best colored contacts.
They are called "bella" and they are very comfortable, and natural looking. I have "Bella - Sky Blue" They are a vial lens, last up to a year, and only cost no more than $40. Thats not bad for a whole year!

Here is a collage I put together of me with and without my lenses. And I also attached the photo from the website. you can see how it really covers up my brown eyes. And doesn't look fake, it has a very natural pattern and almost looks like a real iris. Of course if you look really, really close, you can see the pattern and it may not look natual, I mean, it is a contact lens. lol But No one will be looking at you "that" close to be able to see the dot pattern.
Also I like how the photo online is very close to how it looks on me.
Hope this helps anyone looking for nice blue natural looking colored contacts!

Thanks! and They are ok for comfort. You just need to get use to them, If your a normal lens wearer then they would be fine, I don't wear lenses very often but maybe 2 times a month, so my eyes never really adjust to them, so they can feel a little strange for awhile. I try and wear clear regular lenses for a few hours beforehand, then put the colored ones in and that helps alot. other than that, they are great!

Thanks! I love it to! And I don't wear the contacts much, I bought them for fun to wear out if I want to change my eye color. I only wear contacts maybe twice a month when I do go out. I don't go out much. lol I wear my glasses alot. I bought them I think about over a month ago, maybe longer. ANd haven't actaully wore them out yet, just took a few pictures in them. I need to get use to them, by first wearing regular contacts for a few hours, them switching into them. Not sure why it helps, but it does. If I don't wear lenses for a long time and put those directly in, they feel kinda funny, they don't hurt, just feel funny. I'm guessing its because I don't wear lenses very often, and never get a chance to adjust to wearing them.

It's funny, but in that latest set of pictures, those lenses look like a bronze-y brown to me. You say they're Sky Blue though, right? O.o Maybe I need to get my monitor adjusted.
Would you be willing to show us how glamorous you look in your glasses? I'll bet you look almost as good.
(This is a contact lens site, so I have to say that contacts look better than glasses, right?)

Yeah, I think its the lighting. I changed my studio lighting around a bit, so that could be why they look different. But they are blue. Someone else said they look gray... so I have no idea whats going on. I'm going "out" tomorrow night (Saturday) and maybe i'll have to wear them, or at least just put them in and take some more pictures outside with natural lighting. But it is pretty much Winter here in MN so its kinda cold out. lol and not very sunny much anymore. But i'll try. Oh, and I'll get some in my glasses to.

Solotica is the best and i wish that i can have them ,i should order them online and that takes so much time to be shipped to the middle east!

So you've actually got a studio? No wonder the pictured look so good. Are you a model?

Everyone keeps saying that! lol I don't really have any friends that wear contacts. I have a few that wear regular ones, but I doubt will go spend another $40 to get fitted for colored ones just so I can take photo's of them. They don't want to change their eye color either, I tried selling them on the idea and they said no. So sorry folks! I'll just be posting photo's of myself.

Well, thats hard to say because some websites say different things. Some say 3-6 months, some say a year, I guess it all depends on how often you wear them, and how good you take care of them. I only wear mine like once a month if that. I got them about a year ago and just now wore them outside my house. lol I put them in to take photos, till this last weekend, I actaully wore them out to a bar. They are made of Polymacon and so far almost every lens I see that is made of that, and that are in vials last about a year if you wear them daily. But I would ask your eye doctor just to be sure. Here is the link to the website I ordered them from. You do need a perscription for any colored lens that you can email or fax them. As long as the "size" of the lens is the same, they will ship them to you. http://www.cosmetic-lens.com/ They have other brands to that are really cool, Like Europa (more for lighter eyes) and Pacifica (non-perscription-also for lighter eyes) and a few others. Check it out!

Default I like my Adores.

I wish I had found these pictures before I purchased these, although I am 80% satisfied with them. I will post pictures some time today. I don't know why there aren't any black people modeling these contacts, but I will post my pictures incase others want to know how they will look on brown skin people. I really like them all on everyone, but I would like to show you how they look with my complexion and dark brown eyes (medium brown in light).

Hi Golden83. We welcome you, no matter what color your skin. I don't know why there aren't any black people modeling these lenses, but I think part of the answer lies in the fact that few people of any complexion put their pictures up here for all to see. I'm thankful to Deejayt for her willingness to post her pictures here.

I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures, Golden83. I'm sure you look great.

Thank you for making me feel welcomed!

I am going to attempt to attach four photos. My eyes are dark brown, but when I put on the Aqua Adore Bi-Tone that I purchased from LensMarketPlace, (2 weeks for me to receive them, regular shipping!!!), they look grey. I love that they are dark and not too loud or very noticeable. It looks natural and they are comfortable. I said 80% satisfied but I take that back...100% satisfied because I got two color contacts for one price! Grey in regular lighting, and Aqua in flash, both of which I like. I will be purchasing the Yellow Bi-Tone next Tuesday and will post pictures.

Those contacts look great, Golden83! Thanks for posting.

If you want to make those pictures smaller, I think there are some instructions here on Lens 101. The best way to make the pictures smaller on this forum is to save them smaller on your computer.

Yea that makes sense. I can downsize those pictures, especially the close-up eyeball ones! I will read those directions too, but I think your right, I'll try downsizing on my computer first.

Default Yellow Adore Bi-Tones

I will be posting pictures AS SOON as I get my Adore Bi-Tone Yellow contacts! I'm excited because I heard they look green on dark eyes and that is the color I want. I love the Adores because they change color in lighting, the same way my real eyes do and they are comfortable. I was out partying all night and ended up sleeping in them...although this is not a habit, they were still comfortable in my eyes the next day. I enjoy changing my look with these contacts and I'm excited about these yellow pair. I just ordered today!

I have pics on my profile of me in different shades and side by side comparisons of different colors - but they are all in Natural Touch lenses which have been recently discontinued. When I receive my new "Illusions" lenses I will post new pics.

Yup, this thread asked the question "Where are all the pictures" and the answer is . . . they're all here! Looking good everybody. Don't think you're done putting pictures up though. If you've got more, we'll take `em.

They are very comfortable and they are not pricey IF you buy one pair at a time. In this economy its hard (for me atleast) to buy 2 or 3 of these at one time so I buy them 1 at a time about $40. You get what you pay for too. I don't feel I paid a whole lot because they are quality contacts. Its when I pay $40 and then I'm like, "Man these aren't worth $4" that I think they contacts are expensive. But for what I have and paid, they are well worth every penny.

Its really hard finding pictures of people wearing lenses from a distance. Closeup shots arent the whole story. This was quite helpful

Yeah, I think most people want you to actually see the lens, so they take the picture really close up. I agree that a more natural far-away picture can be just as useful.

$700 for 5 pair? $140 for a pair?

I know I just irrived the forum ando don't kwon everything, but I have to say it:

I'm living in Brazil, and Solotica is from this country. Here, a pair cost a half of it, and other brands are even cheaper. If somebody want to buy the lenses, I think is much better buy from here. I can send the lenses if for you all if you want. I don't know nothing about taxes, but I don't belive that a package of lenses whould be so expensive to be delivered.

If somebode need help with it, MP.

And just to don't loose the focus:

I'll post my owl pictures when the get the 15 posts. And gilr, you all have lovely pictures, I'll look for the brand you've show us. Thans a lot.

If you go to a quality eye care professional they should have many types styles and colors for you try on to see what works for you before you order. It really is the best way as everyone looks different with color lenses due to variations in iris, skin and hair color. Many people have posted pictures on this site. Also try YouTube for videos that may help you. Again, trying them on yourself is the best way to see what looks best on you.

I agree with you goldenspenz. Your eye doctor is a good place to decide what brand if contact lenses you want to wear. You never really know how Brand A will look in your eyes until you actually try them on. YouTube can be helpful too, like you said. You just have to find someone who knows how to take good pictures.

Hi there, MsDemeanour. Welcome to Lens 101.

I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable buying contact lenses through an intermediary. I'd rather just buy them directly from the source. Since I don't live in Brazil, I think I might just have to pass on buying the Solotica lenses, just like I would have to say no to someone trying to sell me a snow leopard as a pet.

I agree weirdscience. You don't want to mess around when it comes to contact lenses. If it were me I would want to make sure I was getting them from a reputable seller. Don't use a middle man. There are too many bad things that can happen.

Maybe some people could post pictures of themselves with their natural eye color, and then with several different color contacts. Are there any readers of this page that has a bunch of different colors to model for us? Thanks.
Thanks for asking for pictures, Tradecade. (Wolf whistle.)
