Default Are Soflens Natural Colours Available in the US?

I just read about a colored contact lens called "Soflens Natural Colours." I have it from a reliable source that these contacts are not available in the United States, only in Europe and the United Kingdom.
I did a quick scan of the Internet and it looks like that's true. Has anybody been able to get these in the States? While we're at it, why can't us Yanks Across the Pond get these contact lenses at home?

these lenses are gorgeous-especially the jadegreen colours, if you ring up and ask maybe they can do a special post for you. you can pay with your visa if you have trouble converting the currency.

Thank you nancynicola. I take it by your suggestion to "ring them up" that you are a resident of the United Kingdom. Welcome.

To be honest with you, I'd rather just see if I can get them here in the States somehow. Best thing would be for the sponsor of this site to offer them. They've got some Soflens contacts, but no Soflens Natural Colours.

Hey, would you be willing to post a picture of yourself or someone you know wearing the Jade Green Soflens contacts? That would be smashing!

This is a picture of my eyes with Bausch&Lomb Jade green lenses. The other pic is of me with my natural eyes (dark brown) The Softlens do look pretty natural and bright-and are of a much better quality than Freshlook green colourblends as as you can see the green here stands out a lot more. I find Feshlook colourblends green to be a bit murky-they suit dark skin better, definately see if you can find Bausch& lomb in the US.

Those look really great on you. I noticed that I could see just a sliver of brown in one picture, but if this wasn't a contact lens site I might have just though I was looking at a picture of a cute girl with pretty green eyes.

It's not a problem finding Bausch and Lomb in the US, it's finding Soflens Natural Colours here. I should have known by the way they spell "colors" that this might be an issue.

I could do that, or maybe I could call them and ask them to mail them to me.

Default Soflens

They are available out of the US but don't waste your money. The color that I own look horrible, they are not realistic looking. If you want fake looking lenses you can find plenty of companies here in the US that offer that look.

This color is Soflens Amazon Green:

Oh, I don't know. Nancynicola's contacts look pretty realistic in this thread, even in bright light. Don't you think so, Lens 101 readers?

What do you mean? Lens.com has lots of colored contact lenses available, and they're based in the US. I found over a dozen brands on this page, and it doesn't include vial lenses.

Yes, I agree Tradecade. I don't know why trugreeneyes thinks that there aren't many color choices available in North America.

Do these lenses have a limbal ring? I'm hoping they do because I need a lens with a limbal ring. They look beautiful on you!

Not anymore, they don't! This situation has changed drastically in the last year. There are now only 3 choices for opaque colored lenses on the US market: FreshLook, Acuvue 2 Opaque and Expressions, and none of them are annual vial lenses. A lot of people don't like the fit, comfort or look of those brands. This is why so many are looking outside the US these days for natural looking colored contacts.

Yes, the Bausch and Lomb Softlens Natural Colours do have a limbal ring. You cannot purchase them from a US seller, but it's not hard to find online retailers who will happily ship worldwide. In South America, this lens is sold under the name Bausch and Lomb StarColors. These are monthly lenses - the same lens also comes in an annual version sold under the name Bausch and Lomb Optima Natural Look. You might want to search for them under all three of those names. Over the long term, the annual lenses are more economical, and they also have a few more color choices.

These lenses seem to have really pretty colors, but I haven't purchased them because I don't like the weird tiger stripe design. To me, it's not natural looking at all. But to be fair, I've only seen them in photos, never in person, and a lot of people rave about them. Meh, they're inexpensive enough...maybe I should give them a try.

its a great color but they sort of look like Halloween Contacts. I think the pattern is weird as I have seen these in real life...its hard to explain. In real life when your standing about 2 feet away from a person wearing BL opaque lenses...they look very "stickerish" like there is something stuck on the contact lens due to the tiger stripe pattern.

The more natural looking opaque lenses have a dot matrix pattern with spaces to let out some of your natural color blending with the color on the lens. However in my opinion FL color blends are the worse as I find they look muddy on any other eye than a black eye. FL color blends pattern lets out a bit too much of your natural color making it look muddy.

The total opaque lenses natural touch were great because it had a pattern which mimicked a natural iris but were totally opaque and covered up a brown eye.
Solotica's and freshkon opaque lenses I find the most natural looking yet bright and vibrant.
