Finding Color Contacts in -8.00 Pwer

I heard about someone having a great deal of difficulty finding a color contact lens for their -8.00 power prescription. I understand that's a pretty high power, but isn't there someone out there that makes a color contact lens for this prescription?

I don't mean to be a forum ad for the company guys! But solotica brand contacts go from -15.00 --> +15.00 Rx

Thanks, stormy. I tried looking for Solitica contacts at lens.com, the sponsor this site. (Gotta show our appreciation for our benevolent sponsor, right?) I didn't see them there, do they sell them? If not, are there any contact lenses on the roster that sell the +8.00 power contact lenses?

You mean the lens.com roster, right?

I checked lens.com, but I could not find any contact lenses that were both color and +8.00 power. You could try for yourself, maybe you'll come up with something I missed. www.lens.com

I poked around Lens.com myself, but I didn't see any color contacts with a prescription that high. A lot of them had something like -10, but in the positive direction it only went as high as 6 most of the time.

Did anyone else have any luck?

I looked up that link and, although my German is a bit rusty, I think you're right. I saw something that said "-6.50 dpt bis -8.00 dpt in 0.50 dpt Abstufung."

This is an eBay item, ja? I'm not all that familiar with online auctions, but isn't that a single box that could be gone by the time someone finds this page?

this is an optician, who sells the contacts on ebay as a salesman.
maybe he could send it also to the usa? or i could send it to you, if you can´t find anywhere else something.
he also has an normal internetadress. gutgucken.de

but if freshlook colorblend in -8.00 are available in germany, why not also in the usa?

You ask a very good question, XxCatxX. Perhaps they're manufactured in Germany and aren't exported to other countries.

Lens.com is a great site for buying contact lenses. They have a wide variety of lenses at the lowest prices around, but unfortunately, they do not sell Solotica contact lenses at this time

These much sought-after Solotica lenses are only available in their native country of Brazil, I think. I'm pretty sure you can't buy them in the United States. Is that true? What about Europe? Can you only buy them if you're in South America?

Hi SteveKemp.

I think that Solotica lenses are available in the United States as well as Europe. The thing is that you will have to pay to have them shipped and it could take a while.
