Default Color Conacts Blurry at First

Are contact lenses supposed to be blurry for the first day or two that you wear them? I hear so many stories about people spending a lot of money to buy a pair of Color Contact Lenses only to find that they are blurry when the try them on for the first time.
How long does it take to get used to color contact lenses, generally? I know everybody's different, but in general does it take days, weeks, months?

It's not all that uncommon for color contacts to be blurry, especially when you first start wearing them. You will likely find that your vision in the new contacts will be better each day. You should probably adjust fully to the contacts within a week. I would say that if your vision is still unsatisfactory after a week, you should definitely let your eye care professional know.
I hope that helps.

Thanks a bunch, Goldar. It's good to have a specific time limit after which it's best to consult a professional.

It's good to have a website like Lens 101 that has so much of that kind of information in one place.

I agree with Goldar, although I would err on the side of caution and make an appointment after 2-3 days if my vision wasn't improving. Even a quick phone conversation with your eye specialist will give you a better gauge as to what to expect.

That's a good idea, colorgirl. Thanks for suggesting it.
