Can anyone recommend contacts that turn dark brown eyes to light gray?

Those are interesting contacts. In this extreme closeup I can still see your brown iris through the pupil hole of the contact lens, but it's much lighter brown than your natural color. I don't think I've ever seen that before.

It's a good look, though. I don't think anyone is going to notice unless they look really close. Has that happened to you? You're gazing into someone's eyes and they say "Hey, wait a minute . . . "?

I've seen a lot of waicon lenses that are really beautiful. The Waicon trikolor greys (and esp the new grey-blue) have a small pupil hole and well designed patterns and color variation.

When I look at these lenses I see a very pale brown, even yellow, ring around the pupil, but it doesn't look like the natural color showing through to me. It just looks like the contact lens has a different color around the pupil.

Hi Rosie. You can use actual words and sentences here. It's okay.

I've never heard of Aryan contact lenses. Is that the brand or is Aryan Blue the color?

Yeah, right. This isn't Twitter. You can make your messages as long as you like.

I've never heard of Aryan Blue either. Just sayin'.

A quick google reveals that Aryan lenses are a real thing - they come in all the standard colours (blue, grey, hazel, green, think I saw an aqua too) in either one tone, two tone or three tone options.
Truly BIZARRE name for contacts though. Word association in my mind goes 'aryan', then 'Hitler'...

Yeah, I went there too, p01son1vy. Check out what I learned about the word "Aryan" on Wikipedia:

Aryan /ˈɛərjən/ is an English language loanword derived from Sanskrit Arya ('Noble') and denoting variously

* In scholarly usage:
- Indo-Iranian languages (Iranian and Indo-Aryan) and their speakers

* in dated usage:
- the Indo-European languages more generally and their speakers (no longer widely used within the scholarly community)

* in contemporary usage:
- Among Hindu nationalists, the Hindu/Indian people
- in colloquial English, and according to Nazi racial theory, persons corresponding to the "Nordic", "blond-haired, blue-eyed" physical ideal of Nazi Germany (the "master race" ideology) . . .

As an adaptation of the Latin Arianus, referring to Ariana, the eastern part of ancient Iran . . .

I suppose it shouldn't come as a surprise that Aryan contact lenses are blue . . .

/\ That's interesting, sounds like the word didn't always mean what everyone takes it to mean these days.

They do make a blue, but it isn't like 'Aryan blue' - Aryan is the make and blue is just one of the colours they make along with hazel and green etc.. 'aryan blue' might be taking it a leeeettle bit too far, heh!

Yeah well on this forum sometimes people can't resist the impulse to push the limits a little bit.

I don't suppose you have a picture to support this claim, do you Esha? It doesn't have to be a picture of you, but maybe a picture of someone with a lens in one eye showing the difference it makes.

I can't say that I have, Healinghands2. I guess I'm pretty clueless about that sort of thing.
