Default Is this person wearing color contacts?

The pupil is large, do people think this is contacts or natural and the person just has dilated pupils?

Is this a friend of yours, Mehoolio? She's pretty.

It's hard to tell if she's wearing contacts in this picture. Sure her pupils looks really big, but that might be natural.
This picture is quite possibly edited, because of the fact that her wide open pupils do not allow us to see the eerie red reflection of her retinas, (like in the picture I posted below) nor do we see what would be her natural eye color under her colored contact lenses, if she's wearing them.
There is a special "red eye reduction" feature on some cameras, but they work by setting off a flash before the "real" one when the shutter opens. This has the effect of contracting the pupils so the red doesn't show.

That's my call. No colored contacts and possible photo editing.

How can you tell, catt? Now that I look at her eyelashes they do look kinda dark, but I would have just chalked that up to mascara. I don't see any evidence of colored contact lenses either. You must have a very well trained eye.

That and the fact that when I see a pretty girl, I don't analyze, I just admire. Still one would hope that on a website about contact lenses that one could spot them in their "natural habitat," as it were.

Is that what you mean by "trained eye," catt? The ability to enlarge a picture on a forum?

Speaking of "catt's eyes," look at these . . .

I too blew up the photo and noticed that not only is she wearing fake contacts and fake lashes but she is wearing a leopard print thong.

After further review the photo also reveals that she is young, slim and beautiful. Catty is just an expression of jealousy. I'm not catty but I am jealous - of her boyfriend!

Default Keeping us on Track

It seems like Meehoolio's unnamed friend was getting some abuse just because she's pretty. Catt, I'm surprised at you for playing the padded bra card. Are we all going to play nice now? I'd hate to have the Administrator swoop down and delete this entire thread. Let's remember "Lens 101 Is a Friendly Place."

It's all catt's fault. I was admiring her eyes, her smile, and her hair. 0:-)

Yes, she does have pretty eyes, a pretty smile, and nice hair. I'm glad you're so innocent, ICU2.

I agree with you that she's probably not wearing colored contact lenses, and someone blacked out her eerie red pupils.

So Mehoolio, are you going to tell us the answer?

Yes, ThaMaster, I think someone must have blackened her large pupils. We still haven't heard from Mehoolio who started this thread.

Boy, how do you like that? Mehoolio starts this thread that sparks an interesting dialogue and then he disappears.

Just over 8 months . . .

Do you think it's just a random picture on the Internet? I tried a Google search but didn't find it.

Good question. I think if I were to search for this picture I'd use keywords like "pink shirt dilated pupils contacts" or something.

What about you catt?

Well, you got the "pink shirt" part right.

In a previous thread I was trying to find a picture of someone having a nice conversation with a read haired girl. I did a search for "talking with a redhead" and almost every result was something would be labeled with the letters "NSFW." For those of you who are unfamiliar with that term, it means "Not Safe For Work."

For those of you unfamiliar with that term, it means "dirty."

Searching with Google is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.

Once again, the wisdom of Forrest Gump is seemingly infinite, although that particular wisdom is attributed to Forrest's Mama.

That's right, Weird. I believe the line is "My Mama always said 'Life is like box of chocolate. You never know what you're gonna get.'"

Just think, Tom Hanks then went on to play an astronaut.

Looking at this picture again, it's really . . . well you know how they say "It's too close to call"? In this case, it's too far away to call. This picture shows this young lady's face and upper body, and not so much her eyes. I'd need a closer look at her eyes to make a judgment.

Maybe people are just bored, surfed the site, saw the girl in the pink shirt and decided to comment. It's an easy mark. You don't have to know anything about contact lenses to say "She's pretty."

Or "she is wearing a leopard print thong . . . and. . . a matching push-up padded bra."

I can't believe you went there.

I tried that "talking with a redhead" search, and on the first page I saw a mostly normal pictures, except the one about the "redhead who loves to talk dirty" and one of my favorite redheads, the lovely and talented Kari Byron who, as far as I know, does not like to talk dirty, although I have heard her bleeped a few times on Mythbusters.

I love Kari Byron as well. Since this is not a Mythbusters fan site, I'm going to ask if anyone knows the state of Keri's vision. Does she wear contact lenses or maybe glasses when she's off camera?

So are you satisfied that we at Lens 101 are simply interested in this young lady's eyes? Meehoolio issued a challenge to decide of she's wearing contact lenses, and then never came back to reveal the true nature if this girl's peepers. Intriguing, isn't it?
