Default Best Choice for Brown Eyes

I'd like to get your opinion, Lens 101 readers. What color contact lens do you think looks best on medium-to-dark brown eyes? If you have pictures of your brown eyed self wearing color contacts, please post them here and let us see them.

My eyes are green so I prefer colorless contacts because I love my eye color. Brown eyes are beautiful too. I'm not sure if I would want to go with another color. But if you do, how about a big change and go blue? Blue eyes are the best. My father had blue eyes and my mom had brown eyes so I ended up with green somehow. But of the three different colors in my family blue is really fabulous.

Green was the color I was hoping for. My dad has them (naturally, not the contacts) but they passed me by in the gene pool toss up. I've mulled over color contacts for years but never taken the plunge.

I'd say green.

I came in here to ask the exact same question.

I have always wanted green eyes and since I have big brown eyes I decided to buy some emerald green contacts. Eyes looked more like a muddy brown though, not what I was going for.

I do have a friend that went with a violet and has very deep purple eyes as a result. My cousin also uses a mustard yellow and her eyes are an awesome bronze. Neither of them had the same result on me though so nothing but the regular clears yet.

It would be nice to be able to experiment and find out what works the best. I like the idea of violet or bronze eyes.

Hmm, I've seen a lot of colored contacts being sold on line, but I've never seen anything called "mustard yellow." Is that what the color is actually called? The only yellow lenses I've seen were the novelty ones, and those are as yellow as a smiley face.

I bet if you added a bit of yellow to brown eyes that would make a nice bronze color, come to think of it.

I don't suppose you could get your cousin to post a picture of her "awesome bronze" eyes here, could you?

I like your "gene pool toss up," Wheelhouse.

So what would it take to get you to try color contacts? Do you wear regular corrective contacts?
