Solotica lenses are not available at Lens.com, but I checked another site and it looks like it's available there. Here's the description as it is written, and I'm afraid the grammar isn't the greatest.

"These contact lenses have beautiful ICEMINT-CRISTAL natural colors. They are made from gelatinous and should be exchanged after 1 year. They where designed to make your eye color as natural as can be. They have an absolutely discreet & diffused contour around the limbal ring of the eye, so that the effect is a real natural color. They can be used for cosmetic use with no number and also with a number for correction of short sightedness or long sightedness. No other lenses will be able to give a true natural color to your eyes. The color is applied delicately with small scattered color dots so that the effect is real and natural."

There you have it.

I was hoping I could find a picture of these Solotica Icemint lenses, but I couldn't. I found that the keywords "Solotica Icemint" can pull up quite a few non-English sites.

I've read a lot recently on Lens 101 about this "Bonanzle" site and so I decided to check it out myself. Here's what it says on the "What's Bonanzle?" page:

"While everybody is welcome to sell on Bonanzle, our most successful sellers are those that have items that aren't new, shiny, and mass-produced. Why? Because we believe Amazon already does a darned good job at helping people find new DVDs, CDs, electronics, computers, and books. We specialize in helping you buy and sell everything else."

Okay, so if I'm going to buy contact lenses, call me crazy but I insist that they be "new, shiny and mass-produced." Who wants used, dull and home made contact lenses? Not me.

Even Amazon's not all that great. I ordered a book from there with a gift card and the told me it would not be available for another five weeks!

Don't take chances like that. Order all your contact lenses from lens.com.

Except Solotica contact lenses. For some reason, they don't sell them. Perhaps it's because the site is based outside the United States. At least they speak English, though.

Adios!

"Made from gelatinous" huh? That doesn't sound very nice. "Soft," sure. "Flexible?" That's a very good quality for contact lenses to have, but "gelatinous?" Not so much.

Default I have the Ice-mint lenses...........

The Solotica Ice-mint lenses are actually called Cristal Ice-mint and they are currently out. I purchased mine at Wrlens.com. I have them and you can read more about them on my thread "My Colored Contact Review".

The first picture they are in my eyes backwards and the second picture they are in my eyes correctly.
My thread explains the reason for why I show the backwards and correct pictures. They are suppose to look as they do in the backwards picture.

They seem to be a little darker when you have them in backwards.

How funny, I like them both Troy! Now when they are backwards do they feel funny or move around? Could you wear them backwards if you had to? Just for fun of changing the color? Thanks for posting I am ordering another pair from Bonanzle

I think so too, Ragnarox. They look just slightly darker in the picture where they're "backward." (I think that means "inside out," right?)

Careful now. This is a public forum, people might steal your idea. Yours is a really good one, Loveme. Two-sided color contacts.

Heads or tails?

No I am not able to wear the lenses backwards or inside out. They hurt my eyes. But I was told that they are suppose to have a limbal ring and I didn't see the ring when I put them in the correct way. Therefore I was told to send them back and they would send me a new pair. They thought the lenses may have been printed backwards. That is the reason that I showed both ways in my pictures.

I agree with you loveme. I don't see any green in these contacts at all, just a blue/gray color. It looks really nice, I just don't see any green.

Remember that commercial where the guy was selling mint ice cream that was pure white? In the end he suggested that if you insist on mint ice cream being green you could just wear sunglasses with green lenses.

I think about contacting the people from Solotica to send me pictures of the lens Cristal/ ice mint in the cleaning box.
The official picture looks interesting,

but if Ice-mint is just another blue color than I will turn to the Solotica NC quartzo ones.

I remember that commercial too, DebiK. At the end he gets his green sunglasses and says "If you want green mint ice cream, get some Breyer's and . . . wear these."

from Lenspassion board

Another user from there stated that Cristal and Icemint are the same modell, but that Icemint has a bit more 'mel gray tone', while Cristal is bit more 'gray pearl, more clear'

Yes, they are. I like that picture of the girl in the Icemint contacts is at a natural distance. I've read other comments on this and I'm glad I'm not the only person who thinks that those closeups of people's eyes while wearing contact lenses don't give a true picture of how they look.

Oh no they don, the close ups scare people away, camera picks updetail that human eye cannot pick up in real life, so better to take pics from normal distance. I just love these Icemints as well ever since i saw the pic of this girl. i have similar hair color, I am seriously saving $ to get them soon. I might ask the seller if he/she has new pics of the Icemints. I want to see more

Yup. Lots of pictures there. Not many full-face pictures, though. At least the pictures on that site have close ups showing both eyes. That's a little less disconcerting that one big eyeball.

Default hidrocor cristal?

Has anyone heard if Solitica will be releasing a hidrocor cristal or is it just a prototype?

Default Solotica Cristal

Hi Everyone,

I have Solotica Natural Cristal contacts but am not sure if I'm wearing them inside out. I've seen videos where some people have them in and you can't see the black markings around the eye and some that you can. If you own them you will understand. One side of the contact has more vivid colors than the other..for example: the ring around the contact on one side has bright black lines but on the other its hazy. When I put them in with the vivid colors facing out(not on my eye) it gives it a fake look..but when i flip them around(which seems to be the wrong side) it looks WAY more natural but I can kind feel them when i blink in my left eye but not in my right....HELP! How do I know which side is the correct one.

No matter which way i flip them there isn't a distinct fold/bend in the contacts.

Pictures would help.

Thanks,
David
