What do you think?

If someone has dark hair and tanned skin (Not really dark, just not pale.), do you think they'd look good with light color contact lenses like gray or green, or would a dark color like violet look better?

I think on dark skinned, the green one look best
the gray doesnt look good because it looks like glaucoma or cloudy eye.

Hmmm . . . I never though of the glaucoma thing. I guess that's a pretty good reason to go with green!

I think it depends on the brand of contacts that you're trying out. But I think that green, grey or violet would look good. I tried green and they really didn't suit me at all where as the grey did. I've got tanned skin with black hair and brown eyes.

Thanks for the reply, Pri. Would you be willing to post a picture here on Lens 101 with your grey contacts?

The first one is green. The second and third are grey. I took all of them indoors in artificial light with flash. They are all freshlook colorblends. They were the demo's that I got from my doctor which is why you can see my eye color a bit more like on the green one because it actually says demo on it. I'm waiting for my Durasoft colorblends contacts in grey. I will post proper pictures of my eyes then. But I hope this helps for now.

These look pretty good on you, Pri. Most of the time when people post pictures here you can see their true eye color through the pupil hole, but in your pictures it's less evident.

I'm looking forward to seeing more pictures. Maybe you can post some larger ones and include one of your face so we can see the contacts in context, you know what I mean? If I were to meet you and talk to you in real life I probably wouldn't be looking into your eyes quite so closely.

Here is a full face picture with my new durasoft colorblends grey. You can kind of see my natural eye color but that's because i took it in artificial light with the light right in front of me.

Looking good, Pri! Thanks for posting the full-face picture. The contact lenses look great. They do look a little brownish-gray, but it doesn't look unnatural.

thank you!! even in person it's not really a bright grey it's more of a muted grey but it looks very natural and under natural light you can't see my eye color through the pupil hole but if it gets too bright you can.

If it gets too bright, that's when you put on your sunglasses.

Thanks for the picture, Pri. I agree with Tradecade. The color looks good. Very natural. The eye makeup helps, too. Keep on smiling.

Do you wear sunglasses, Pri? There's a section here in Lens 101 for sunglasses, although if you didn't want to cover those pretty eyes, I wouldn't blame you, but you still need protection, ya know?
