What's the NC Quartzo? Are they contact lenses? It sounds like some kind of award.

"And 2009 NC Quartzo Award goes to . . . "

You guys couldn't Google NC Quartzo?

It is from the Solótica line of Natural Colors (NC) and it is called the Quartzo. There are two others in this NC line that are also suited for dark eyes. I don't recall the model names.

Hoolio you own every pair of colored contacts on the planet and you've never heard of NC Quartzos?

Why Google when you've got Lens 101? You shouldn't go to any other site, ever. Lens 101 has all you need.

By the way, those contacts above look really nice, don't they? I don't even see the natural color showing through the pupil opening.

MeHoolio I am wondering if the base curve of these are not comfy for you.

I am able to do 4-6 hours but as time goes on they get worse and worse - the first hour is great. This is probably due to the lack of oxygen to the cornea. These lenses may not be good breathers. So as time goes on I get blood shot eyes as this is a natural reaction to the lack of oxygen.

I don't fully understand this. What do the corneas do while you are sleeping? Maybe taking these out for 10 mins, letting eyes breathe and then reinstall and you're good for another 2 hours?

What do you think?

MeHoolio I am wondering if the base curve of these are not comfy for you. Solóticas are hardcoded at 8.7 and that's that.

I am able to do 4-6 hours but as time goes on they get tough to deal with - for me the first 2-3 hours are great, I don't even feel them in and have to check a mirror. but after that hours 4-6 get bothersome. This progression may be due to the lack of oxygen to the cornea. These lenses may not be good breathers. So as time goes on I get blood shot eyes as this is a natural reaction to the lack of oxygen.

That won't change the way they look on this page will it? I'll just have some smaller pictures of you on my computer for those lonely nights, right?

Eyebrowze, you're probably not the only one whose room has been bathed in the soft light of their computer monitors, with Mehoolio's big giant eyes watching over you through the night . . .
