Default Regimen for those with MANY yearly pairs

Regimen for those with MANY yearly pairs

It is recommended that:

contact lens CASES be discarded monthly

AND

Lenses in cases have their solution changed every 3 days

With this in mind those of you with say 6 YEARLY pairs cannot wear all of them all of the time. You may have a pair only for certain occasions or whatever...

For the ones that are hanging around what do you do to keep those "maintained" and "Fresh"?

Example: The first of the month you pay the rent and then open 6 new lens cases, rinse them in hot water (should you boil the new cases?), air dry, and transfer the 6 pairs into their new cases?

Then every 3 days change the solution until the next month?

Thanks for sharing.

I am not totally following you Barney. You are confusing me with the 6 yearly pairs, et al. Are you referring to vial lenses that can actually last a year? If so, why would someone purchase 6 of them (presumably different colors?) instead of maybe one or two "yearly" ones and the rest disposible?
Perhaps I am not totally awake; or perhaps that there really are lots of individuals who buy in bulk.

Yes, different colors that may not get worn all that often.

MeHoolio seems to have an army of colors based on his posts. I see myself using a hazel/honey a few times a week or, when I go out, wearing a grafite or perhaps an exotic like topaz for other times depending on the occasion.

So some of my lenses may not get worn for 3 months. Who knows?

Two things. I have 20/16 vision and I am not gay - not that there is anything wrong with that - I'm just "muy vanidoso", or particular as to how I look. To me my appearance and my clothes are very important.

I mention 6 as an arbitrary number. I could have worded it it: "How do you store you lenses that you only wear once every two months."

I just need to know how to care for and store yearly vial lenses if I am not wearing them - when to change the case and how often to change the solution if they are just sitting and not being worn.

Thanks in advance.
